Marjorie is credited with background vocals on “Marjorie”. When Taylor sings “I can hear you singing now” you hear her grandma singing. She was an opera singer!

You finishing happiness and immediately being like "nope, next" is a whole mood lmao Also, I did cry listening to Marjorie, and I also came back later and just cried to it again. And again. God knows why lmao I think it is because.. it is a good cry you know? It's not the "you hurt me" or "I hurt you" of relationship songs, whether romantic or not. It is an ode, it is remembering someone you loved and miss deeply. I lost both of my grandmas, and this song brings back all the love I have for them and it is bittersweet. It is good to remember that love, even if it hurts a little.

Ivy such an underrated song. “My house of stone, your ivy grows. And now I’m covered in you” One of the most gorgeous lyrics she has written imo. It’s that feeling of being with someone you know you don’t love and are in that situation from either being forced or getting in too deep too early and not knowing what to do. You meet someone and realize that you’re falling for someone and it’s hard to figure out what’s wrong and what’s right and what you should do and how you can make things right, even though it is kinda wrong.

i disagree, folklore has the most depressing songs, e.g. this is me trying, hoax, mad woman, exile, my tears ricochet, illicit affairs, epiphany, and peace the heaviest on evermore are probably champagne problems, tolerate it, tis the damn season, happiness, marjorie and evermore. folklore definitely has harsher topics and evermore is a bit more lighter. but either way i think folklore is the better album

Marjorie will never fail to stun me and make me breakdown with a head injury afterwards and honestly that bridge is the highest tribute you could give to a human being, this one Coney Island and Ivy, Long Story Short and Closure and the title track are the pinnacles for me. Really I'm just gonna say pretty much all of them has me in a perpetual state of 🙌🙌! Just came around to your reaction, and I have to say it may be the best one just due to the pure authenticity and love that you have for Taylor. honestly can't remember my first reactions from 2 years ago to these extraordinary albums either as I feel I can't remember a time without them and yet still can't believe these records exist so I'm glad you have it to go back to! She says and provides everything we need from an artist and never diminishes herself in the process, she's Indescribable! Thanks for this
