Frankie Boyle tells me he believes there’s ‘a connection between a Conservative government that wants to get rid of human rights legislation’ and the residents of Grenfell Tower ‘being treated as less than human’. He thinks a series of decisions show that the pursuit of profit was more important than fire safety, which he describes as 'deeply immoral'.
We also talked about Theresa May's woeful performance in the 2017 general election but why simply replacing her with a new 'broken sociopath' is not an adequate solution, why trust in the media is so low and the modern tendencies for faux outrage and judgmental moralising.
