Grow your scotch bonnets bro, the are easy. Store em in the freezer till next summer and do it again with some of the seeds from a red bonnet. Those ox tails look top notch btw!

Yum! Used to be oxtail was really cheap. Now pretty expensive here in California and hard to find along with other less desirable cuts I used to use to stretch the budget.

It's called elephant garlic. Not real garlic, it's in the allium family. Closer to onion.

They also make this fried grated cassava bread called bammy, it was created by the native Jamaican and the maroons. When my ppl do a fish fry it is communal.

Yay, my oxtails just arrived at the doorstep. Im going downstairs to season and put in the crockpot. I got extra dark kidney beans for the rice and some haberno peppers. Not sure where you are but my oxtails were about $34.97 for about 2 pounds. I got a cabbage as well as I already have the carrots for the Jamaican experience. ❤
