A basic tutorial for setting up an Oxy-Acetylene regulator and hose setup. This may be different than oxy-propane.
Step 1: attach regulators to the corresponding tanks.
Step 2: slowly add pressure from the tank valve to the regulator.
Step 3: add pressure to the hose with the hose valve on the regulator.
Step 4: turn off the tank valve and wait a few minutes to see if the regulators loss pressure.
Step 5: if pressure is lost in a cylinder, tighten the nuts where the leak might be coming from, then repeat the previous steps to check for a persisting leak.
Step 6: use the gases for your needs.
Step 7: once finished with the gases, turn off the cylinder valve, then release pressure from the torch, then turn the hose pressure valves off.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to never set acetylene hose pressure above 15 psi, acetylene is unstable at this pressure and can combust spontaneously. 5 psi should be plenty enough for all thin to medium metal thicknesses.
