Oyitangayo is a powerful and uplifting anthem that reminds everyone of the importance of home. Sung by Shepherd's Flock in collaboration with Stream Of Life, this song carries a heartfelt message to all people: no matter how far they wander or how long they've been away, they should never forget their roots. With rich harmonies and traditional African influences, Oyitangayo evokes a deep sense of belonging and encourages listeners to always make time to return home. The combination of soulful vocals and emotive lyrics creates an inspiring call to reconnect with one’s past, family, and heritage.
About Shepherd's Flock Choir
A young choir called Shepherds Flock has Kennedy Secondary School in Kisubi as its home base. It also takes a creative and contemporary approach to performance and music. Back in 1997 at Kennedy Secondary School, a group of students formed the choir as a singing ensemble with the intention of worshiping while developing their musical skills. Since then, it has increased to an average of 104 participants, and it is currently run by Mr Magezi Isaac, Mr Kaboyo Shannon, Mr Muwanguzi Hope, with Mr. Bamuleseyo George [Headteacher, Kennedy SS] serving as the choir's patron.
