The build quality is excellent, it packs away small and relatively light. The killer for this kind of shelter though it's condensation, it's really bad. That's the problem with small single skin shelters.

Yep, condensation is something you'll need to manage in any shelter, but it is certainly harder to manage in single skin shelters. ~ Ben

This looks exactly what I'm looking for, perfect on the trail bike and light enough for the odd hike.

You'd likely find a 2 person hike tent that weights less, TMB 351, but it would certainly do the trick for overnight hikes now and then. ~ Ben

It won't fit many individuals. Most people going on bike adventures are middle aged men with extra baggage. Better of getting a light 2p tent. More room, comfort and storage.

Hey Ben, I purchased one of these for kayak camping trips.. great paired with a little sea to summit mat.... the only problem is condensation.. every night I have slept in it has been wet.. even with the flap full opened.. I have also slept in it in a storm.. was wet inside and out that night haha.. any ideas on the condensation issue?? A friend thinks it could be solved by a low pitched tarp over?? That would work for the rain too I guess 😆

Condensation is a common issue in single skin tents, we had a discussion on our podcast on the topic here if you are interested - www.snowys.com.au/blog/podcast-dealing-with-tent-condensation/. Long story short, given condensation forms where warm moist air meets cold air, which in your single skin swag is the underside of the fabric, a second layer like a tarp over the top will help by moving this point from the swag fabric to the tarp fabric. It would need to be setup close to your swag so as to trap slightly warmer air under the tarp. In some climates, it's just impossible to avoid all together though. ~ Ben

Looks like water will pool in the middle - they should have made it a 3 hoop set up, adding heaps more room and removing that potential puddle without adding too much more weight. Apart from that it looks great!

I think their focus was on making it compact and durable, and less poles means less bulk. I reckon if you pitch it tightly you won't have any issues with water pooling. ~ Ben

Yeah, might be a little bulky for bike packing, but that's coming from me who is not a non-bike backer. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors would have been great to see what size it is rolled up. I too am thinking swag for bikepacking as opposed to a small tent
