My Mom, was busy building P-47's in America ... ... We have a photo of her helping to build one, while wearing her P-47 ID pin ... The pin and the photo, are cherished heirlooms ... So Dad was a three time hero, earning those stars ... And Mom was a Rosie the Riveter ... Both, will always be Stars in our eyes ... 🇺🇸 ...

My dad was a1st lt 1:17 the 29th div atNormandy. When he called for air support he said the only guys who would be a effective were the P47 pilots. They would come in low and linger. The P51’s never would come low and be effective. He loved the Jugs!

Saw this thing at Airventure. They never looked that clean originally and I’m fine with that. Looked for a P-47 last year and couldn’t find one. Was very happy to see it. Greg’s Airplanes has an 8-part series on the Jug which I’d recommend.
