I would have expected a lot of the skyscrapers to have already been there in 1989, before the bubble burst! But it’s almost empty compared to 2023! That is a big surprise!

Tokyo has continued to expand its city blocks, and has built many skyscrapers even in last 30 years (They say The Lost 30 years). This Bay-shore Line and its surrounding area is a totally new city on the waters of Tokyo Bay, planned and developed since around 1980.

1st of all, this bay shore area was just literally empty before 90s. And japan in general is quake prone region. Tokyo did not have much skyscrapers due to restrictions and cost concerning quake proof standards. They were like 10 stories building endlessly across the city but most of skyscrapers were actually built in 21st century. Now a day there are numerous skyscrapers in tokyo but if you actually look at the height, none are over 300 meters tall(to be built though).
Impressive editting techniques! Just out of curiosity, did you personally shoot all those comparison videos just by yourself?
