@@ruelmashi1121 You can't compare the flood of Noah to the horrific abuse and killing of children in your bible. I don't know why your asking that when I clearly said above "God used a flood" As I said above floods happen all over the world even today this happens because God allows it to happen. You said is " is that not horrific " No its not "horrific" because Noah told the people for 900 years the flood was coming but they did not listen and they refused to go on his ship that is their fault. God gave them a way out but they ignored him as a result they paid with their life's. God didn't target children unlike Samuel who targeted children as commanded by your God Jesus. Unlike Noah's flood the people had a choice to join Noah and be saved or die in the flood they choice to put themselves and their children at risk of the flood, also some people were saved and joined Noah on the ship. Its not horrific or Gods fault if people make bad choice and die even tho god gave them a way out. You can't compare that to the killing of children in your bible stop trying to justify the killing of children. Also God never killed children in Noah flood, if children did die in Noah flood that is not God's fault that is the fault of the parents of those children for not thinking about the safety of their children and joining Noah on the ship. Don't try to blame God for parents bad choices.

Point number 1) With regards to Surah 18:74-76, first and foremost, there is a difference between the word “Ghulam” and the word “Sabi”. Although the latter does mean the word “boy”, the word “Ghulam” doesn’t. This word is derived from the verb “ightalam” or “Ghalam”. Let’s see what Lisan al-Arab says regarding this: غلم: الغلمة، بالضم، الشهوة....وأغتلم أغتلاماً إذا هاج، وفي الحكم: غلب شهوة. Ghalam: Meaning, fully developed desires (sexual ones)....in other words it is used to refer to someone who has attained full maturity. Reference: Lisan al-Arab, section 12, page 439. So we see the word Ghulam is used to refer to someone who has developed sexual desires. We all know children don’t have that feature. And according to the Raven and the Falcon: Youth versus Old Age in Medieval Arabic Literature, page 42, al-Kahl is called a Ghulam. In case you don’t know what al-Kahl is, it is an elderly man. So we see that the word Ghulam could be used in referring to a boy or an old man. What we have evidence that this “Ghulam” was not a child at all. Which brings me to point number 2. Point number 2) That “kid” wasn’t actually a “kid”. Why do I say this? Well if you pay attention to verse 47, you’d find something really interesting. Something that proves that that “boy” was well past the age of puberty. فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلَٰمٗا فَقَتَلَهُۥ قَالَ أَقَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسٗا زَكِيَّةَۢ بِغَيۡرِ نَفۡسٖ لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتَ شَيۡـٔٗا نُّكۡرٗا • Sahih International: So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing." 18:74 Al-Kahf, Ayah 74 Notice here Musa said “Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul”. What’s really important is when he said “Other than having killed a soul”. This phrase shows that al-Khidr didn’t kill a young boy. This phrase is only used when talking about adults or fully matured people. Why do I say this? Because killing a soul for a soul is the one of the laws in Sharia that only applies to grown-ups. What proof do I have to substantiate this? Well we know that children are not held responsible for anything they do. Ali ibn Abi Talib reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The pen is lifted from three people: a sleeping person until he awakens, a child until he becomes an adult, and an insane person until he regains his sanity.” Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 1423 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani Want even more proof this word means what I say it means? Let’s open Sahih al-Bukhari shall we? During the night journey, as the Prophet SAAW was passing through one heaven after the other (there are seven heavens), he met Musa (Moses) (Alayhi Assalam) in the sixth heaven. After greeting him, the Prophet SAAW left. And while he was leaving, Moses started to weep. When he was asked why he was crying, he said the following: ........When I went (over the sixth heaven), there I saw Moses. Gabriel said (to me),' This is Moses; pay him your greeting. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' When I left him (i.e. Moses) he wept. Someone asked him, 'What makes you weep?' Moses said, 'I weep because after me there has been sent (as Prophet) a young man (THE ARABIC WORD IS GHULAM) whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers.' Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 3887 In-book reference: Book 63, Hadith 113 USC-MSA web (English) reference: Vol. 5, Book 58, Hadith 227 So we see the Prophet Moses Peace be upon him calling the Prophet Muhammad SAAW “Ghulam” and the Prophet SAAW was in his fifties when this event occurred. Point number 3) You didn’t finish the entire story. According to verse 80 of Surah 18, after al-Khidr and Musa finished their journey and were about to part ways, al-Khidr told Musa why he killed that “boy”. وَأَمَّا ٱلۡغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤۡمِنَيۡنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرۡهِقَهُمَا طُغۡيَٰنٗا وَكُفۡرٗا • Sahih International: And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief. 18:80 Al-Kahf, Ayah 80 So this verse tells us that the boy would become a disbeliever and transgress against his parents. So al-Khidr had divine revelation telling him that this man would be an evildoer. This was a special power that only prophets had. However, today we don’t have prophets to tell us about divine revelation, so killing them would be unjustified. Al-Khidr even told Musa that Allah would replace the deceased individual with a righteous boy who would be dutiful to his parents. فَأَرَدۡنَآ أَن يُبۡدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهُ زَكَوٰةٗ وَأَقۡرَبَ رُحۡمٗا • Sahih International: So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy. 18:81 Al-Kahf, Ayah 81 Case closed!

Rather we should understand the words of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, on the basis of the most apparent and clearest meaning, ما لم يمنع من ذلك ما يجب له التسليم . unless there is a strong reason to do otherwise ولو ساغ ادعاء المجاز لكل مدع ما ثبت شيء من العبارات ، .. If it were justifiable for anyone to claim that something is a metaphor, then no statement would mean anything. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, is far above saying anything in the Qur’an except that which is said in a manner that may be understood by the Arabs on the basis of their style of speech. Istiwa’ (rising above (the Throne)) is well known and understood in Arabic ومفهوم ; it means ، وهو العلو والارتفاع على الشيء والاستقرار والتمكن فيه ". rising above something and becoming settled and established. وقال He said ناقلاً إجماع أهل السنة على ذلك , narrating that there was consensus among Ahl as-Sunnah concerning this matter : " أهل السنة مجمعون على الإقرار بالصفات : Ahl as-Sunnah are unanimously agreed that all the divine attributes الواردة كلها في القرآن والسنة والإيمان بها mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah are to be affirmed, and we are to believe in them ، وحملها على الحقيقة لا على المجاز and understand them in a real sense, not as metaphorical. But they do not discuss the nature of any of them As for the followers of innovation, the Jahamis, all the Mu‘tazilah and the Khaarijis, all of them deny the divine attributes ، ولا يحمل شيئا منها على الحقيقة and do not understand them in a true sense; ، ويزعمون أن من أقر بها مشبه ;they claimed that the one who affirms them is likening Him to His creation. According to those who do affirm the divine attributes, these people are denying God. . The truth is on the side of those who base their understanding on the wording of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messengers, and they are the leaders of al-jamaa‘ah, praise be to Allah. انتهى من "التمهيد" (7/ 131، 145).
