You mention installing the front fans on the exterior of the front panel, just inside the mesh. Could you elaborate on how well this works out? Do they contact or warp the mesh cover? Will the cover remain in place? I'd like to buy this case, but I don't care for the look of the chassis in front of the fans in their default configuration.

Stuart, did you move the front fans to the outside of the case (behind the mesh)? Do 3 x 140mm fans fit there? Tx. Great build !

Also need to know this. Gamers nexus review said the 3 pre-installed 140mm fans did NOT fit at the front.. @GFF??

@@Rohanfansite I read the same in other places too, so the fans do not fit at the outside of the case between the front and the case mesh.

I'm still undecided between this case and the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh for my new build. I wish the P500A also included the fan hub found in the P600S. The stock fans are supposedly extremely noisy and inferior to those included with the P600S. The text on most PSUs does not neatly align with the cutout on the PSU shroud, which I really dislike and spoils the clean aesthetic.

I was torn between those two as well, but finally chose the LC2 Mesh based on aesthetics and interior build design, since both are pretty equal in airflow.

Is a fan hub important? Usually the system automatically applies the right speeds based on the load right? Also most would probably discard the included fans for better ones like noctua? I’ll be building my first pc and this seemed like the best case in terms of airflow and space for the 3090

I am wildly unoriginal but love this build and want to do something similar (with a few changes). How many total straight/45/90 fittings were used? Thanks!

What I don't like about this is how the vertical graphics cards obstructs the view on the rest of the system and components. Besides from that it's a great case.

If I understand correctly the speed of the fans can be controlled on the top of the chasis with a little control ? Also how much speed settings are there ? 3 or is it infinite ?

You say a 420 in the front prevents you from using a 360 up top. Is that true even with a thin 30mm thick 420 in the front?

Good review Stu. Loads of similarities between this and the Define R6 or Define 7, especially if you're not into RGB. That PSU cut out looks weird and is pointless unless you have a nice looking PSU like a Seasonic Prime and I just can't make myself like the way Phanteks angles the front cover on these cases. Same reason I don't like the Evolv X. At least it isn't an almost completely sealed case like the O11D - that's what I have and I wish I'd never bought it. Lol.

Thanks! Yep Phanteks definitely like their angles. I guess the PSU cutout would be good for a small screen

Is it possible to move x3 stock fans closer to the front?

I believe you can only move them to the front if you are using 3 - 120mm fans. Which do not come with the case

great looking build, thanks for the video. I'm planning my first custom loop in a p500a, what is the tube routing down from the pump/res and into the psu shroud/where is it going? it's throwing me for a loop...no pun intended.

what a load of rubbish this case is , i bought one off the back of reviews and i liked the look of it but getting my hands on one reveals loads of issues that i wish i had never bought it . the riser mount supplied isn't universal so unless you buy one form phanteks or guess which one that will fit then you wont be able to use the mount for the case , there are zero cable tie options because there is absolutely nothing to tie them to , you solely have to rely on the velcro strips that are basically useless when you need to put a few wires in there and hold them tight to the chassis , the VGA power cable to the GPU is so off the mark , your cable looks stupid and i contacted phanteks to inform them i wasn't happy with the case and they have just washed their hands and told me to have a nice day - my recommendation is buy another which has had some thought process into its production
