Both sets sound great! If i was to play more clean/mid gain stuff I would go for vintage. Hot set definitely for high gain stuff. Waiting my hot set to arrive, cannot wait!

I tend to agree and for that reason I am going with the Vintage set as I play more clean to crunch than heavy gain and like the slightly brighter, chimier sound of the Vintages.

The Vintage are some of they most underrated pickups of all time! I can't belive I got a bridge Vintage soapbar for under half the price of an Antiquity (which just isn't for me) all because the hipsters want all the weaker pickups and all the "transparent" / weak overdrives (and i dont even play metal - I play blues). THANK YOU HIPSTERS ! You scored me an absolute bargain on my SD Vintage pickup 👌🏻 - well done 👏 please carry on!

I find P90s are a great midway between single coils and humbuckers. They have the power and fullness of a humbucker and the snap of a single coil. I prefer to use them in the necks of some guitars, like my Yamaha Pacifica which name with a Vintage P90 neck and a Custom 5 bridge. If you want a neck tone that works very well for John McLaughlin speed runs the VP90 is your pickup. The Hot P90 is harder to work with in the neck, but works great in the bridge. Gets a nasty, snappy growl.

Hi Felipe Souza! This is Kevin from Seymour Duncan. The Epiphone I used in this video is outfitted with 250k pots. Thanks for the question and comment Felipe!
@G-Point-EU-AU

@@kevinharveyguitar 250k pots make difference in comparing with 500k - lowering resonance peaks. Gibson is often using 300k pots on Volumes, but always linear tapers. I prefer 500k audio tapers on Neck for more open sound and 300k audio tapers on bridge to reduce nasal resonance peak and bright string signal from bridge position of pickup. Tones are 500k audio tpers on all Gibsons. I prefer No-Load 500k audio tapers, just wider range.
