Five brothers are good but there are also plenty of restaurants and street dhabas that do fantastic varieties of biryanis, meat curries, grilled meats, vegetables, seafood like the tiger king prawn bhunas, variety of tandoori breads and Bengali desserts. Also the milk cha in sylhet is amazing. Thank you for bringing this to our screen we want to see more authentic Bengali cuisine, many thanks brother Latif 👍🏽

@Black Panther 👑 Why do you non sylhetis keep changing the post everytime? One minute I read you include Sylheti as a bengali dialect and part of bengali, your take pride in sylheti singers from UK USA and Sylhetis doing well around. But then you say, Sylheti is a separate lingo. Like I’ve seen this plenty places on youtube. Tbh I don’t blame you. I blame my own people who ultra uneducated stupid brainwashed bunch who forgot Sylhetism and Sylheti roots. Most of them dont even know Sylheti language has its own script. So what will the newer generations know much. Thankfully i did my research well enough to know!

kzitem.info/news/bejne/mYClsKSshmVqqGU Raising awareness of Sylheti language 🙏👍
@Hafijur Rahman If the elders dont teach them about sylheti roots how will they know unless they become curious and research. But awareness needs to come from elders. Newer gen are more into whats latest. Since there’s no sylheti language official in BD it is not easy to know for some. In fact last 5decades no educated prominent sylheti in BD made any noisee for inclusion of Sylheti language to be recognised at least even if it’s not made official. In Sylhet maybe new gen might know more about Sylhetism. But in UK 90% Sylheti under 25 know little about Sylheti history. That’s not their fault. It’s the elders, parents, uncles, who knows about the history don’t teach their youngsters. There’s identity crises. Are we Bengali or Sylheti! Yes am proud to be Bangladeshi. But Bangladeshi isn’t a race it’s an identity/nationality. Bengali is a race/ethnicity. So what are we? Bengali or Sylheti?!.
@sheikhspear8910

It is the Sylheti Language. Spoken in the Northeastern part of Bangladesh and bordering regions of India too. Due to a large diaspora population it is also spoken in UK; and in some parts of USA and Canada by the Sylheti People.

Bengalis has been trying to kill Sylhoti language for more than 50 years and insulting Sylhoti language by calling It a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti scripts are 2 thousand years old and Bangla is only 5 hundred years old. Sylhoti is a tonal language and Bangla is a non tonal language. Bangla has nothing to do with Sylhoti. Due to the dominant political reason of Bangladesh, Bengali speakers don’t want to recognize Sylhoti as a different language. But we Sylhoti people know Sylhoti is not a dialect of Bengali cuz when a dialect can developed It's own writing system and grammar It's no longer a dialect. It becomes a separated independent language. Sylhoti language even has It's own grammar and vocabulary too and It's not even a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti language has nothing to do with Bengali language. Sylhoti language has all kinds of qualifications and features be a separated independent language.
