Excellent job! I appreciate that you resisted the temptation to "chase" every bit of action with the fast and/or jittery pans that so many people tend to do. One of the best videos I have seen to capture the spectacle of this place.

Most of the 300 miles of Oregon coastline have spectacular views. And by law, the coast is owned wholly by the public and for full public use. The large cities of Oregon are located in inland valleys. The entire coast has small towns and scenic parks along the way. The waves shown here are real. No trick photography is involved. The winter months of Jan-March offer the best views of stormy seas. Bring a raincoat as the sea spray goes far even in lookouts a hundred feet above the crashing surf. . Aug-Sept is the best time for sunny weather. Summer weather temperatures rarely go above daytime 75F and about 55F at night. In winter the coastal weather is in 40-50 range day and night. Expect high winds in winter. That creates the monster waves shown here.

4:41 on the left there's a face in the mist. A long mans face with a long nose. I've noticed a few faces in the falling mists

As a matter of fact there's actually 2 faces. One has his mouth open in a scream before his face crashes into the rocks

Its A PLEASURE to see A TRUE PROFESSIONAL VIDEO WORK, not AS ALWAYS the BLURRED AS HELL videos, with continuous zooms and out of frame recordings.

I was a commercial fishermen out of Charleston OR, maybe three or four miles north of shoreacres and cape arago. I have fished in 24 foot swells in a 28ft uniflite salty dog. I spent many days out at shore acres and Cape Arego. People on the very top of the cliff have been swept away by these giant swells hitting a vertical wall. It is as often as not a very dangerous place for the unlearned. But there is no greater place on her that I know of then the Oregon coast, and shore acres and cape arago might be the best on the Oregon coast. When you get a 15 or 20 foot breaker hitting these vertical cliffs, the sound is deafening. If you are someone who would plan a vacation around wave watching, this is the perfect place to spend a week or two especially during the winter storms. Even on a regular day there is something worth watching their. And during the right time of year with a calmer ocean you will see whales migrating and sounding. I don't work for the chamber of commerce, I just live there for 8 years and have rarely been disappointed in the beauty of it all.

Are the waves just like that during January and February? I’m planning a trip in the next week or so.

Rosy Morra These big swells happen mostly from October thru March. How big they are on any given day depends on winter storms out in the Pacific. You can google “stormsurfing wave model” and click the link for estimates of swell heights for about 7 days out.
