For a 'Casual Cranker' you have sure put together a comprehensive kit to take to the Crank In! Love that you were able to find more of the IKEA fabric and for such a reasonable price. Doing all this, connecting with Erika with her fun retro Mary Maxim and knitting all your projects. AMAZING! The Warmthness sweater London couture version is so fun! You were the influencer, no doubt, to the 'real' designers of the Boob Flap sweaters. You are the actual designer of the slow fashion version!!

Yes - well, I've collected things from the past year that I've found out are essentials! This is my third crank-in and you really need all this stuff. Luckily, a lot of the tools and supplies came with the machine package that I chose from Dean & Bean. (it's called the 'kitchen sink' package and really includes everything but the kitchen sink!) haha.

OMG! My husband has that Mary Maxim wolf sweater, knit for him by his grandmother in the 70's. I wore it in the 80's when I was pregnant. So fun to see it again. Love your Warmthness sweater and look forward to seeing a black version (although the chartreuse is fabulous). Happy cranking.

Hello. I love sewing. These are my most favorite tops and skirt patterns: Linn tee by Elizabeth Suzann, Bel skirt by Elizabeth Suzann, Athena top by Tessitu fabrics, Ramy raglan by Sew house seven (I used this pattern to do dresses also). The main characteristics of these patterns are: easy to sew, easy to wear, easy to mix and match and comfortable! Happy sewing! Elise

I have seen that vintage wolf pattern in the wild! I stopped a lady in my local grocery store who is wearing it. And it was indeed the vintage one that would’ve stood up by itself in a corner! Lol I live in Albuquerque, and the university of New Mexico sports teams are the Lobos. It was on a lady that worked at the university, who was not even a knitter! She had picked it up in a thrift store.

I think I would cut those fabrics down into smaller pieces (like 6-8” square or random) and make a new fabric, then I’d slice it again and sew it again, then make the garment out of that. Would be so interesting!

I am so obsessed with this machine now, I’m dying! Can you possibly explain how it works when you knit with different size cylinders, do you have to change your gauge or yarn size? Someone told me the cylinders are the same size, only the number of needles change.
@JenGeigleyKnits
6 ай бұрын
Hi! So you can easily change out the cylinders - I have three sizes (a 54, a 60 and a 72) and then you can also change your gauge! It's pretty slick. There's a little gauge dial on the machine so I can adjust depending on my yarn weight. (Because some sock weight yarns are definitely thicker/thinner than others!)
