This video is purely for beginners.
Video covers how to plan and cook a one pot spinach rice / keerai sadam within 1 hour right from cutting vegetables to packing.
For beginners, I have covered many tips like
- How to avoid burning while cooking spinach rice
- What is the consistency to pack for lunch box so that it will be perfect while eat for kids
- How to make it mushy and soft if you have not put enough water initially
The video is taken twice to cover all mistakes generally done by beginners.
Ingredients
Spinach - 10 leaves of palak leaves
Split moong dal - 1/4 cup
Rice - 1/4 cup
Tomato - 1 no
Onion - 1 no
Sambar powder - 1 tsp
Salt
Temper
Coconut oil - 2 tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Onion vadagam - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Carom seeds - one small pinch
Hot water - only to dilute the rice if needed - optional.
