A sailing down the River Clyde from Glasgow to Rothesay aboard
the Paddle Steamer Waverley. Filmed on Friday 8th July 2016.
Our trip begins at Glasgow showing the Waverley turning and
leaving the Science Centre, Pacific Quay to head down stream,
passing many interesting locations on the Clyde, such as the
Renfrew Ferry, the flight path to Glasgow airport, Black Cart
Water, Sites of the numerous Dockyards Wharfs and Cranes,
the Erskine Bridge, Henry Bells Monument, Dumbarton Rock,
Port Glasgow and Greennock to our first call at the village of
Kilcreggan. We then continued our journey to Dunoon, a popular
seaside town on the Cowal Peninsula. We now run parallel with the
coastline to Toward Point Lighthouse. With the island of Bute now
in front of us, it was not long before we reached Rothesay.
Here, passengers were able to enjoy some time ashore before
returning back to Glasgow.
