Spring solo canoe trip paddling and portaging through some backcountry small boreal lakes of Northwestern Ontario, 3rd week of May. I show two versions of the Canadian stroke, which is the most beautiful of cruising strokes for the single blade. Portage trail, boreal landscapes and a beautiful campsite. Spring sounds of toads, spring peepers and many songbirds. I am the only person on the lake. Cooking under the tarp in the rain with my Littlbug Jr. stick stove.
