The Pagani 2021 have 120Click Bezels. I ordered the watch to see how good they are. Also the magnification is 2,5 times on the newest models, and they removed the explorer thing. nice vid tho

@@IaMaPh1991 4 sure, you can buy the PD1661 as a Hulk, Kermit or the standard black like I did. Pagani offers alot. Im pretty happy with my black one, for this money simply unbeatable. And I got a super NH35 movement, works really accurate.

PD is great value for money, but I just received my first SM and the qualitative difference is striking. You've already discussed the bezels and I agree, SM nailed it. However, when I received my PD with a riveted bracelet, I pulled it out the box and the bracelet fell apart due to a bad rivet link. I didn't much care because I don't like that sort of bracelet and I immediately put it on a fitted StrapsCo rubber strap, but it's a QC issue. The appearance is ok, it's a little slab sided, but I think that's the homage the BB58. The SM BB5i homage is amazing. When I was sizing it, the bracelet screws were very large and robust. Same for the springbars in both the end links and the micro adjust. In appearance, the brushing on the SM is some of the best I've ever seen, and I have an Omega and many CWards. The lume, as mentioned in the video is also no contest. Is the SM twice as good as the PD? I guess it depends on what you value. I like the PD, despite it's quirks and issues, but the SM has a qualititive improvement that I'm willing to pay extra for. I feel more confident that the SM won't fall apart on my wrist, and since I actually depend on both the timing bezel and the lume on a daily basis, the cost difference is worth it to me. I'm gifting the PD to a friend to get her feet wet with automatic watches - I think she'll really like the aftermarket fitted rubber strap, the sporty good looks, the red pip and the display caseback, and I'm keeping the SM for myself. In fact, I think the PD is excellent for a first watch (provided it doesn't fall apart in the box) to get someone excited about the hobby without breaking the bank.

Wow!!!! I thought for a minute I wrote this comment I had similar experiences with two Pagani watches in my collection the bracelets just fell apart while I was taken them out of the boxes but apart from faulty oysters bracelets which I replaced with decent rubber bands the watches they are of great q quality from 2018 and recently root beer gmt I bought last month. I still believe they’re better value for money compared to San Martin. I ordered 3 Pagani on sale this morning PD1661 £44, PD1664 £31 and Pepsi gmt £38 all including taxes. I love to pick up quality bargains.

My perspective is a bit skewed because I can’t stand Mercedes hands and I can’t stand a cyclops over the date. So a cyclops surgery and a dial and hand swap is first thing to happen, followed by a better bracelet with glide lock. Having said that, I’ll go SD. Great comparison man! You are the only one I’ve seen be logically discerning between the two. Most tubers go straight from the gospel of the San Martin bible....and that’s not the book for me 🤣

Ive always said it, back then San Martin were way over rated but its only down to these nitty gritty comparisons do you see how far the other watches are. In most cases, not at all. Having said that though i do think SM have turned it up a gear and are producing far better watches now

First of all thanks for the review... How about the bracelet feel and quality? Not sure about San Martin since I don't have one... But my experience with pagani, they are crap... They rattle, sharp edges not smooth, and mine broke in just 2 weeks of use (at the clasp). Absolute rubbish. I was interested in the San Martin thinking they may be better quality... But again I hope to see more reviews.

100 meters 200 meters even 300 meters in watches with a screw-down case, screw-down crown and orings, it is more a matter of the company investing in the permission granted by the ISO standards to be able to announce the indicated depth on its watches. many times they only declare 100 meters but structurally it is 300 meters. and that is because the 300 meter permit is much more expensive.

The bigest issue for me is that bezel does not align. On your watches it was okay but on some other video i saw on pagani it was like 2 seconds disalignment. I choose SM just for less risk this alone problem won't happen. Also SM offer custom logo option, dunno if PD too but thats a bit win for me.

Thanks for the comparison. I have older 43mm Pagani and I was thinking about upgrading to San Martin Hulk, but now I think it will be better to get their blue pearl dial Deepsea. Or something else like Tuna/Turtle/Willard, maybe from Steeldive. I think San Martin might need a different movement, maybe PT5000 for the price. Or at least a proof of good calibration NH35 before they ship it like Proxima. My MM300 after a month of wearing is average +1s per day in Watch Check app and that result really shows it was money well spent. But sadly it makes all my other watches that I was happy about 6-8s per day look like garbage.

I do not understand why you compare an older version of Pagani with the actual Version of San Martin. The vessel of the 2021 Pagani has 120 clicks and my one has no backplay. I also have had the San Martin watch which I sold after one week because all edges were very sharp. That was awful. I have bought the SN 0019 now. This is a wonderful watch with a good movement but quite expensive. I suggest everybody to buy the 2021 Version of Pagani. Very good quality for the price.

@@TheWatcherReviews isn't this also the V3 San Martin? They're on the next model now, so these 2 were available around the same time period. I honestly don't understand what people mean when they say sharp edges? Do people really get cut on a watch? Has never happened to me, or ever gotten the feeling that it could do anything. And I have the v3 hulk too. Suck a weird point of criticism, from what I've seen.

@@gilbertoflores7397 sharp edges is a bad thing. Depends on your wrist, some people actually don't notice a sharp edged watch but to others it's quite uncomfortable. My SM sub homage left red marks on my wrist, left marks on the rear and front of my wrist where the watch edges were, even the caseback portion was so unfinished that it irritated the top of my wrist and I had to take it off everytime I tried wearing it Had to spend a good day filing the whole watch down including the bracelet. And mind you the case of the watch was so sharp that simple wear frayed a seatbelt nato strap, just to give you some perspective

@@waris3732 I definitely don't notice anything like that on mine. Maybe some people just have extremely delicate skin. Because I've never encountered that, even with cheap watches. Unless it's a blade or something, I'm not sure most people should encounter this. More of people looking for any excuse to hate or dislike something. If it's not this it's something else. The only times I ever find a watch uncomfortable is because the fit isn't completely right. My wrist might swell on a hot day, and start feeling to tight, and my wrist is in-between links to get the right fit, even with the micro adjusts. But that's about it.

@@nonamename638 well we had a small pouch of different sized metal mini-files, I just took out one of them and went to town on the watch and bracelet. Doing the case and bracelet separately of course. I'm sure you can get away with a metal nail file too, but those small files are cheap. Each to their own. How long you take on each edge will depend on how much you value comfort. Since the sub has a slab sided case, I re-filed the edges of the case even more because of the discomfort of digging into my wrist. If you have any further questions, email me warisw.m37@gmail.com

The Kermit version Pagani 1661is much better, it has a 120 click bezel which has a very nice action and it also has a rubber O ring on the crown. Love your channel mate... but have to disagree in a few areas. The case is much better machined and shaped , bracelet miles better made and fitted to the case , bezel operation is better , lume is miles better. San Martin is just a much better and well made watch. Price is a factor of diminishing returns for higher quality.

These low budget $100 to $350 Chinese watches saddly are not what this guy, I like watches dude, just one more watch Jody and others always state “a good watch for the low cost”. ABSOLUTELY NOT. You want a good watch, go to Orient, Citizen, or Seiko. I returned my shitty San Martin March 5th at my return to china cost ($35). And today, April 20th. No F*king money back.
