Truth. The tangible difference between a specialist and a corporation. I've no doubt that every single Pagani employee (even the janitors) feels a personal connection to the company and the cars they produce. There are few people in the automotive world like Horacio Pagani, I'm talking less than half a dozen people. The ones that immediately come to mind are Gordon Murray and Christian Von Koenigsegg and if given the decision between any of Pagani's masterpieces and his top counterparts, I'd die a happy man after experiencing either of those options but the geek in me who obsesses over the tiniest of details that make absolutely no difference to the cars driving characteristics makes me want this Utopia more than a GM special or a Koenigsegg. An absolute masterpiece and I couldn't stress that word any higher.

The muted color choices, dirt on the front intake, the scuffs on the pedals, primarily analog gauges and interfaces, pure engine power, the lack of electronic aides that let you get sketchy with it if you aren't careful, and the fact that not only did they make a manual in the year of our Lord 2024, but they went so far as to make it a dogbox to maximize those 23 shifts. Every single piece of it from concept to reality just tells with the utmost professional authority that it is a driver's car to the absolute fullest. What a beautiful love-letter to automotive engineering, and proper driving.

While it is, of course, impossible not to have the upmost respect for Mr. Pagani and the craftsmanship, I just can't get past this design. The first thing that came to mind was that the Utopia looks similar to the Japanese monstrosity, the Misuoka Orochi. By themselves there are, without question, some beautiful pieces (the rear lights, for example) but as a package...Those wheels are an eyesore. While it's a trick of the eye, the tiny center makes the wheels look cartoonishly small. I highly doubt any owner will even race theirs to the point where they will need race level technology. Of course, eye of the beholder and all of that but, in my humble opinion, Mr. Pagani tried too hard to be different on this one. It, undoubtedly drives like a masterpiece (although, it has always been hard to get over Paganis having AMG power plants, when Mr. Konigsegg builds his own engines from scratch). I am sure that if I see one in the flesh (which is possible in Miami), I will appreciate what it is but it will still be difficult to get past its design.

Beautiful car this and the review 💯, but you can't compare the Pagani Utopia with the likes of Ferraris, Lamboghinis, McLarens of this day. The only direct & fair comparison to this car would be the Koenigsegg CC850. My thoughts

How about a Valkyrie for comparison? Also, the Daytona SP3 can definitely be compared, it sounds better as it has a naturally aspirated engine and many renowned people have highly rated its design.

Horacio Pagani is a legend for making this piece of art. I was so tired of seeing silly car designs with screens sticking out of everywhere and stupid electrified powertrains. This is what I like. Such a masterpiece.

@@bigblueocean I don't have a problem using foreign words and names with their native pronunciations, but Utopia is a word borrowed from English, and I'd expect an Englishman presenting a review in English to use the English pronunciation, and indeed probably the one that most viewers would most likely use. I imagine this grated with a lot of viewers, or at least the ones familiar with the word and its usual English pronunciation.

What a nice car. The interior, wow. Metal and Leather, nothing looks plastic or cheap. It looks like the materials our ancestors would use not that long ago before the move to plastics. The gauges, look absolutely gorgeous. The gearbox looks very retro, very steam punk, it's brilliant. That truly is The Car. Wow

"Outrageous" was the hyperbole you used when speaking of the interior. I'm not being critical when I say the following, but I don't think that's the best word used when speaking of this cars interior, or any part of this car. It's really the zenith, the pinnacle is apex of automobile building. In fact, this car was more born than built. It's surreal. Pagani has truly taken what Ferrari and various other makers following Ferrari and elevated what they've all brought forth from the earth. It's amazing to think that human kind has taken raw materials from the earth and created this car. A pinnacle of human imagination. Horacio Pagani, thank you. I wish I could own, or at the least, drive one.

I remember seeing, roughly 25 years ago, a Bugatti prototype, a Koenigsegg and a Pagani at, if I remember correctly, the Paris Salon d'Automobile. The Bugatti had something about it that made look like a VW product. In addition both that car and even more so the Koenigsegg looked roughly made, not particularly appealing. Then I saw the Pagani and it was astounding. It looked like a polished jewel. The fit and finish was just other wordly compared to anything else at the time, exquisite carbon fiber, the leather straps, the polished instrument binnacles, the glass top, etc. I'll never forget it.

What a lot of people dont realize is that this car is undermined by such an excellent video. Its more than anything that can be said in this format. Its a modern day Davinci piece of design and engineering, and it will influence modern high end car design in around another ten years ir more when ither designers catch on. It is an exceptional machine, past any others that can only be measured higher in figures and numbers.

I would love Rory Reid to review this heavenly Utopia because he would nail it to perfection. It is unthinkable that a manual gearbox, V12 supercar can still emerge from an Italian manufacturer, but Pagani Zonda has proven they are not like Ferrari and Lamborghini, including Maserati in making this combustion-engined masterpiece. Wow! The soundtrack deserves an Oscar alone!

Pagani, Von Konigseggggg and Murray are the 3 best designers alive today. I would love to see them do a design challenge against each other where they would demonstrate their design aesthetic in a car that could be built for $100K USD.

Pagani's design and coach building is unparalleled. No question. They are the most beautiful supercars made in the world. They don't develop engine tech like Koenigsig, Ferrari or the like, so references to ultimate exotic have to be taken in context, but for pure driver visual and interactive experience, Pagani has no rival.

The car looks amazing !!! Perfect combination of old traditional , modern and futuristic design , sound is spot on and gives you the feeling that the new electric cars can’t . I just have one negative thing to say is and it is about the way you cross your hands while driving , fix this or one day you might get into an accident .
