I like to think the painting he left Nancy was a clue for her to find him after she has obtained justice for her brother should she still want to, but in keeping with the subtlety of the film overall, we're left to decide that for ourselves. The painting is 'Mediterranean Town', and Johnny appears to be headed to Nice, so I'd like to think so.

There really was an artist named Christopher Wood. I would have loved to own one of his paintings, but they are all in private collections.

Does anyone know what the jazz song is at the end, and who played it?

@Neil Drumguy I tried searching when I watched it last night and only the Billie Holliday song and the church hymn came up. Shazam wouldn’t recognize it either. Good movie!

@@justintime42000 The hymn that they sang at the funeral was, "I vow to Thee my country,' to the tune by Holst. I would hope it will be sung at the coronation of King Charles III.

I like Bill Nighy and Michael Gambon, but Page 8 had a tad too much anti-Israel and anti-American in it.

I agree totally. Hollyweird-levels of America bashing. Makes the show a bit small and preachy.

America to be honest has caused and funded for its own gains most of the conflicts around the world since WWII, thats why when America got bombed by terrorist most of the us Brits thought, "what goes around comes around" now see how you like it.

I am curious what specifically was unreasonable about it to you. It's quite widely accepted the US and others obtained intelligence in questionable ways in the 2000s, and atrocities in the West Bank are commonplace on both sides of the conflict, sadly. The villains of the film are the British Prime Minister and the Home Secretary. I thought the story was refreshingly measured, plausible, and grown-up.
