This is exactly what I needed. I have all IKEA and Target furniture and I want to repaint it for now instead of buying all new all matching furniture (gotta be frugal in these times!) and since it is all laminate and particle board I wanted to avoid sanding if I could. I needed to know if a primer of some sort would be good enough so thank you for your video!

I just used the BIN primer on the actual plastic piece that goes where the cords go. Everything else stuck well with the clear shellac. IF you want to be safe, use BIN primer on everything. Have fun!!

I used Zinsser BIN shellac primer, rolled on, after sanding even, and it still scratched off with a nail... which I'm really confused by. Not only did I use the "better" primer you mentioned, I also sanded just in case... any ideas why?

You really need to use a foam roller because you're wasting time and energy, and really not getting the result you want! Even Better is learning how to use a paint gun/airbrush, and there's a channel that really goes into detail with this! Thanks for the video, because I want to paint some IKEA furniture, and I watch so many videos on this!🥰🎁

.. I really don't get the fascination with painting with "no sanding"... It takes mins to scuff sand so the primer grabs and you guarantee better adhesion... shellac for sure, but after a quick sand and and I like to roll on BIN shellac... I just painted 10 feet of laminate lower cabinets and the sanding took no time with a random orbital. ..
