I really suggest looking into more expensive paint and/or model paint. Your time IS money. Doing coat after coat after coat is an absolute waste of your time/money. Consider how much progress on the project, or editing, you could get done in place of doing all those coats on your various painted projects.

🎶"I found a small red boy inside my tummy. With three dollars in change and a Milky Way Lite. In my occasional pursuit to find something more meaningful than yet another word that rhymes with 'die'. I cut him out and put him on my table. His shallow breathing chest would fall and rise. His South Of Heaven shirt was way too big for him. His horns were long and sharp, and then he opened up those eyes that said I am, I am, I am, I am the truth…"🎶 - Small Red Boy by AJJ.

I know this is an old video, but I have a few tips for the clay! I've done a lot of work with this type of clay during the pandemic and I plan on getting back into doing it more since I still have over five pounds of it left 💀 1. I recommend warming it up a lot, and even making it a lot wetter than you think you'll need, that way you can work longer without adding more water. As it starts to dry, it's easier to add smaller details. 2. I usually use school glue as well as water kinda like a slip. Things definitely stay together a lot better this way, but nobody ever says it neither does the packaging. 3. The best air-dry clay Ive found is Crayola surprisingly! and I know this was a different video, but I came here from that one: if you wanna use an existing base, I highly recommend letting it almost fully dry (you can put a plastic container over it or plastic wrap, or even leave it out for an hour or two if it's thick enough clay) and then pop it off. You can rehydrate semi-dry clay, but it's hard to do it to a bigger piece, so do it before its fully dry. it's also incredibly hard, for some reason, to apply new clay to dry clay, unless it is still wet so I try to do it within a few hours in the same day. I hope this helps for future projects! Air-dry clay is really daunting if you don't know how to use it right and it definitely takes a lot of experimentation!

I have an idea for if you decide to work with this clay on something similar in the future. You could sculpt the parts, especially the larger ones, let them dry and then glue them to the original sculpture.

ive seen in other videos when sticking clay to other objects they use like a pva glue to help. look up some clay painting videos and you should see what im referring too. You made this look easy and i absolutely love your videos and wish i could magically make sure your vidoes show up for anyone who is into crafts and artsy things. i have a feeling if people could see just one of your videos they would be hooked. being able to craft is only half of the process. you also have to be able to entertain. i cant tell you how many vidoes i skip ahead to finished art work bc they are just annoying to listen to or the video is just so horrible. You do great voice overs idk how to explain it. some have it and some dont. you have it!

@@RoseRequinCrafts i promise you do just fine. you talk enough to keep everyone entertained but not too much to where its pointless. I dont think I've ever skipped parts on any of your videos im truly interested start to finish. Alot of videos if they are too long you loose interest but I find myself almost disappointed when your videos come to an end. knowing it's another week or so before I get to watch another one.
