Good morning, Trent, Allie and Brandon! You put a smile on my face every Monday and Friday! Allie, your concerns about a fire are a good thing if that concern causes you to be prepared. Please pack bags with all of your photos, medicines, important paper work and any items that are related to family, things that you would really miss. FIRE PREVENTION: you can do more than you think to protect your property. FIRE RETARDANT: Yes, the stuff they drop from the airplanes during a forest fire: it's a phosphate compound, which acts as both a fire retardant and a fertilizer- for regrowth. You can buy the same retardant and a sprayer to protect your property. The home building stores that you go to have it. One brand is called phos-che°k. A recent fire in California was called the River Fire Homeowners who used this product saved their homes by using this product on their trees, bushes, decks and houses. The Blancolirio channel showed this, and a perfectly standing house amid the burned out neighbors. Hope this helps you and Trent prepare!

Knowing how long ago you filmed this what I’m going to say is too late, but the way you have that ladder up against the facia board is asking for trouble or worse. Go to Home Depot and look around where the ladders are for 2 things, legs that will widen the base of the ladder and give you more stability, the adapter for the top of the ladder that are shaped like an L and you put that against the house and it offsets the ladder a foot or two from the wall. There are other goodies for ladders that come in very handy and some that make it safer to be up so high.

I always remind new mothers to NOT let doctors get you too locked in to the "If it's not happening by 40 weeks, we need to induce" narrative. Your baby and body will know when it's time. If anything, with my second baby, my doula asked me on my final checkup visit if I was ready. I told her that I knew that 'we' were ready and so, she gave me a castor-oil shake to make and drink and sure enough, I was gently going into labor the very next morning and that was after trying my hand at bumping my butt down the stairs, intercourse (sometimes will induce labor) and other techniques. It was such a gentle choice and transition. I adore my doula, bless her heart.

When you continue to paint with a sprayer, make sure you spray even coat from one side of wall/ceiling to the other. Not 4ft at a time. Overlap your lines by half. So 10in spray pattern from gun cover 5in at a time so no tiger stripes. Just like the mudding/taping, it takes practice to get even. I mud and taped 1 wall on the 1st flip house we did. Never touched it again. Figuring the right pressure of your sprayer takes a fine touch too. ALSO!!! have a paint roller ready to take car of any runs. Its easy to hit a wall in a couple minutes with a roller after to tackle all runs. Everything is lookin great so far. Cant wait to see some color on them walls!! Keep up the great work folks!! 💪😎

Trent you are the one who will see the imperfections, or character, of the finish. There's not a house out there that is perfect, but when you do all the work yourself you know where to look. I think that's a good idea - but it's too late as that was probably 2 weeks ago. Not only that, they wanted to get everything in and then get the counters ordered, which are also running behind on order. I've been worrying about that baby coming early too. I didn't want them counting on 40 weeks. A friend of mine just had her boy at 36 weeks and ended up for 3 weeks in the NICU. I'm not sure if I can see Trent leaving Allie and the baby alone at the hospital. After a week my friend's husband had to go back to work - and she had 3 other little boys. Thankfully a friend was able to keep them for her while she stayed in the hospital. They're both home safe and sound, but you can only "plan" so much - and babies aren't on anyone time schedule but their own. I'm hoping Allie goes 38 - 40 weeks because that's safest for the baby and her. I cross my fingers every time we get a new video.

Trent , as I listened to your chat at the beginning and spoke about dry walling, I thought I'd let you know why we've stuck around, and it because we appreciate how hard it is and your attitude to face anything that is thrown at you,your genuine and honest and that's why we support you and Alli. You've got some very good friends that are willing to help you, so that makes you a very wealth man, as not many people can count on one hand how many true friends they on one hand. Love your updates Alli, and feel the frustration that your itching to get in there and help,but your making the most special creation 😀 and your life is going to be enhanced and also changed for the rest of your lives. I just watched puppy go back into the woods and all I can think about is mountain lion. In fact, since the first mention of the lion, I'm always looking in the background of your outdoor scenes for lions. I just can't help it. And, I know logically there won't be a lion bcuz you wouldn't have it on your posted video. - but I can't help but look. Stay safe - and keep the puppies close.

@@dandaniels4558 thanks for your reply. It's not that I think the puppies will deal with the lion - I'm just afraid the lion will sneak up and ponce on puppies when they go into the woods to do what dogs do. I just couldn't stand my dog being dragged away to be a lion feast. I know it's just nature but -hard to ignore the threat - in the theater of my mind!!! But thanks sharing your insight.

I usually don't read all the comments, so I do not know if someone covered this, however I have had built three homes here is Arizona and was amazed as we did our walk thru's how many pieces of Blue tape there were at the end. Not even the pros get it always right the first time. I had a receptacle buried in the stucco?, lol. These were all highly regarded builders, who I would definitely recommend. Keep up the great work and be proud of all you have accomplished.....!

Definitely good to prepare. Allie, when did your mother have you? Early? Late? What is "normal" for your genetics? My mother had all of her babies about 2 weeks early (5 kids). I only have one child, but he was born 2-1/2 weeks early. Fully developed child at 6 pounds 13 ounces and 19-1/2" long. I was actually glad he came early because at his 2 week check up (few days before his due date) he was over 9 pounds!

Trent I feel like you did the best job you could do, and being a learning experience I feel like you have done a great job, it is looking so amazing. You are right about having smooth walls, with textured walls they cover up so many things you can't see. But seeing the end result it looks really good and so bright and beautiful. I look at the house I live in right now and it has all of this old 70's paneling and it has a lot of imperfections and when I added paint to these walls it covered so many imperfections and they are looking so amazing so bright and now it has this beachy coastal vibe to it. Be proud of the work you and Brandon have done it will be something you can tell your kids and family and they can brag to their friends that their mom and dad built this house along with your friend Brandon's help. I really loved seeing this video, giggled when you did that transition with the painting outfits, that was fun. Looking forward to the next video, hang in their and stay safe with all of the smoke in the air, I live in Idaho and it is pretty smokey here as well. Sending love and hugs, bye for now.

I would wait on installing anything until all paint is done as it has a tendency to travel. Don't use HomeDepot paint, it's 25-50% more water than the better quality stuff at Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and such. They sell the same sku at lower quality to HD/Lowes to get you in the door. Also highly suggest running floor all the way under the cabinets to catch water, keep them level, make cleaning easier and support changes later. You're far more likely to change the cabinets than the floor later on. On the roof check how close to square you are, You want to plan if it's like an inch out and how you'll cover the end sliver or know that it's there and draw lines to shift each panel 1/8" as you go along to ensure the far side ends on a factory seam and you're not trying to cut it which will look horrible.
@ADIYHD

I disagree 100%! I have a flooring, tile and general contractors license. Flooring gets changed probably 2-3 times before cabinets do. Also, do not run the flooring under the cabinets, in case they need to be removed in the event of damage by flood, kid, dogs etc…

Don't put flooring under the cabinets. You have to remove cabinets to replace the flooring, which will probably need to be done at some point. Cabinets rarely are replaced before flooring is.

I've sold flooring for 20 years. If you are going with any kind of click flooring (laminate, luxury vinyl plank/tiles or click engineered hardwood) absolutely do not put it under cabinets. Floating floors need to do just that - float. So many people don't listen and then wonder why the click flooring start to separate later on after a few months - you will also void any product warranty if you install against the manufacturer's instructions. I also agree with other replies that you are more likely to change flooring down the road than ever change your cabinets so installing flooring up to the kickplates is the way to go whether you do a click or a glue down (or nail down), or ceramic tile product. BTW you guys are doing an awesome job. Place is looking great.
