Atounage is one of the best lessons you taught. And the 24" scale breakdown makes setting frets less intimidating. Thanks, bro! Btw, I plan on using stainless steel nails for the frets. I've got to file off the ringshanks.

What an awesome result! I think im going to try to copy this since i have a lot of pallets. It is kinda hard to get cigar boxes here in 🇱🇻 I was always thinking of how it would sound if it was made of thicker material. Thanks!! 🤘🏽

Will strands of 5-50 Paracord make a good acoustic guitar string?
@robertjeglum4657

Twisty nails = spiral nails. 😉 I enjoyed the video a lot. Am I right in assuming that there is no need for string slots in the 0 fret and bridge fret because of the straight pull at the headstock and the close proximity of the hinge to the bridge?

You got me into building CBGs several years ago! I have enjoyed all of your videos. Thought I might get you hooked on another homemade instrument, the strumstick. I have made several of these for the neighborhood kids (and myself). I use stripped and sanded cigar box lids for the top and bottom. The neck/ body comes out of basically the same lumber as a CBG neck. They are really fun to make and sound great. You can also add all sorts of pickups. Here is a series of videos with instructions and measurements... kzitem.info/door/PLzivS-D7JxlMAGzz6U6ILbRM2eTtu5eYc

Premier ended before I could respond to Steve Vaughn 's comment in the live chat about the "hurdy gurdy" house in Dayton NV when I remembered that was a term used as a euphemism for a brothel 🤣 a number of "establishments" had what they called hurdy gurdy girls, I doubt if any of them actually played the instrument.. there is a lot of ebb and flow and mix ups in history 😉
