A most BEAUTIFUL Processional. As an Episcopal of all my adult life, I will partake in this most Triumphant Hymn tomorrow morning as I enter into the week of His Passion. As an aside, and as is my tradition, I will take a few hours from my week to enjoy Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Superstar" and Mel Gibson's "Passion". this week, likewise.

Orthodox???? I... don't think so...looks like it's Episcopal (Anglican) 💯%. I spotted a Verger leading the Procession. The Catholics don't use Vergers and I don't think the Lutheran's do either.

Orthodox??? I... don't think so. It looks like an Episcopal Procession 💯%. I spotted a Verger leading the Procession. I have never have seen a Verger in Catholic or Lutheran or Orthodox Processions BUT have seen a Thurifer in both Episcopal and Catholic Processions.

Why do Christians name their "Palm Sun-day" after the "sun" and not the "Son"?

He, Jesus, was welcomed by the people into Jerusalem with great Joy and celebrations....This is what Palm Sunday commemorates.. Holy week is now here, with the message of LOVE, through supreme sacrifice. A modern example in our time, is that of the French Gendarme who sacrificed himself for others....in a Hostage situation in south west France only yesterday. (Nit-picking of others customs is unnecessary and fruitless.) Peace be with you, John D.

The ringing of the bells goes with the territory. Episcopalians and Catholics use Sanctuary bells in the Communion part of the Liturgy. High Church uses Incense and Thurifers that "swing the pot" (Thurible). If one does NOT know what they are talking about, do a Google search about the Episcopal Church and it's practices. Trust me, you'll learn a wealth of information like why we do the things we do during the service, what are the Church colors are during the Church year, etc.

I love the bells in procession. Welcome Christ with many sounds of praise! If you don't like, don't listen. But I would suggest a reordering of your mind and thank God that you have ears that hear those bells as there are a lot of us who do not.
