@@beyondourarena2207 Well, the codec from this camera is really good. Having 6k FF camera of this size, I can wait. Because I will probably shoot with it for 10+ year like I did with Canon 5D. Unless camera companies make a new sensor technology beyond CMOS, there is really no reason to keep buying camera. But I want to replace my 5D with Panasonic, so I can match them easier. This is perfect B Camera for my Varicam LT. I arranged test with Panasonic Hollywood. So in a few weeks check my channel and you will see a narrative test from this camera combo. Also most camera are shooting in raw but the sensor is so bad it is just a gimmick. From what I have seen from this camera, and vlog there is a lot more color and real 14 stops dynamic range. @@soultrekcentral It depends on if it is still aimed to compete with the S1H. The EVA has things that the S1H doesn't, like a Canon EF mount, built in XLR ports, a movable grip which allows it to be used handheld or shoulder rigged, a handle, ND filters, lots of stuff. I can imagine the EVA cameras being used for larger productions as a B cam for a Varicam, and where the camera op has to be mobile but in a traditional ENG way. Uhm what? I'll take 6K up to 60fps in an amazing 12 bit RAW codec over 6K (not really full 6K either) on full frame in a terrible h.265 codec. H.265 is AWFUL for editing so I hope you like transcoding and eating up even more hard drive space. Also you're gonna need tons of ultra fast SD cards to even be able to record for more than 15 minutes. Plus the BM 6K is half the price and comes with Davinci Resolve. BM is better for video quality. S1H is better for ergonomics.
@BlackWarriorLures
5 жыл бұрын
@@cfl4286 I agree. That's why the S1H will do ProRes Raw to an external recorder. The reality is the price of high quality images is high. At this level you're riggin out the camera anyway.
@cfl4286
5 жыл бұрын
@@BlackWarriorLures yes you definitely have to invest to get the best image out of both of them. I don't see proress raw coming anytime soon to the S1H. And if it does, it won't be 6K because HDMI can't handle a 6K raw signal. Every other camera that is capable of proress raw via an Atomos uses SDI. Plus that will negate the usefulness of the ergonomics and flip out screen since you have to buy a $700 monitor/recorder for it anyways. Either way you're still way above the price of a fully rigged BM 6K so you might as well do that if you're looking at shooting video. Also premiere doesn't support proress raw so you have to use FCPX. You can buy a $30 plugin for premiere to make it compatible with Braw and you also have Davinci for free which is better than both.
