This is sort-iof a rhetorical question; why don't we, as a society, tag the people doing this work as CHAMPIONS? Seriously? Like, why not???? When we throw the term around referring to a bunch of men in tight shorts running around groping each other, all with a ball-fixation, and somehow find something to revere, calling them names like 'heroes', 'champions', 'leaders', 'winners', etc. it very much reduces our esteem to ridiculous & pathetic. There are people doing incredible things and working their butts off, yet are not acknowledged for the extraordinary achievements they accomplish each and every day. OK, I'm not going to ask anyone to wear their undies on the outside, but I sure do want you all to know that YOU are Champions, Heroes, and Role Models. Researchers at Garvan Institute (and everywhere) - we salute you and we thank you
