Hi Jeff, And I hope you and your's had a Happy Easter as well. That's most interesting about keeping them in a black tub. I never knew that. I've had any number of goldfish that always lighten up. Now I know why. I should'a thought of that. Thanks much for the tip!!

I welcome your comment. Thank you and the thing is once your fish has lightened up you can't put it back in a black tub and get it back again. It's normally if they're raised in black tubs, I find that works the best there'll be a lot of experts out there that agree with me and probably a lot the way but everybody to their own my friend

Happy Easter! It's so interesting that they lose color, but I suppose it is for survival.

Very interesting! What about in a normal fish tank setting? Will they lose their colour also?

Not so bad in an aquarium but in white tubs they become washed out

I also breed fancies and you’re actually incorrect. I’ve had proper pandas turn completely orange. Yes they lose their colour but it’s got nothing to do with the tub.

@@missyflutter5562 yes, some fish go through their second stage of demelonization but I'm talking from my experiences. I found black tubs are better for fish that are predominantly black, but I do know everybody's experiences are different. Thanks for your comment
