"You do a bad shot on a recurve and you shoot your neighbor." Dude that was classic . Some of the best part of your videos are the ramblings !!

I have always felt that aluminum arrows tune easier and are more forgiving because of the relationship between static spine and dynamic spine (including all-aluminium shafts). This goes double if you're shooting a bow that isn't cut to perfect center-shot.

I'm not an material engineer. But Aluminium shaft has alot more consistency in material thickness along its shaft. Carbon shaft is basically a carbon cloth with random fibres wrapped, dipped in glue... And aluminiumshafts don't have a seam on one side. While carbon have a seam where the wrap meets, that runs along the shaft that affects the spine.

Shot with icepoint for couple of weeks. Ideal arrow for this price.

I ordered a dozen of these in the 500 spine. 5 days later i ordered another dozen. That's when i was told i might not get them here in MN until March. But this woman in customer service was very good. A couple of days later when i made contact with her i told her that i would be happy if I was to get both orders shipped @ the same time & that it would be better if they sent them with no vanes or points glued in. They were able to accommodate me with this but that the 1st order already shipped. I got that order yesterday. The 2nd order will come bare & i also have a pack of 2 dozen points in the 80/100/120 variety. Now i need to assemble my arrow saw & attach it to my work bench. They r full 32" shadts & the points look great. I already have a bag of 50 pin nocks for them. I haveva new 14 strand D97 custom string with heavy serving. Im going to shoot some larger 500 spine shafts to break in this new string b4 i shoot the Icepoint arrows. I'm sure these arrows will work fine but 8 out of the 12 arrows have a wobble @ the end which i would rather have than on ghe nock end. It will be nice to be able to custom fit them to my bow & doing the build & using the right components will be as much fun as shooting them once they r all built 🎉.

I'd like to see something like a superdrive 23/x23 from pandarus. Their spingwings look good but i'm pretty set with kurly vanes for the time being (bought about 300 lol). Isn't the icepoint basically the same as the skylon preminens? wich is super hard to get at the moment.

Chk archery supplies for Skylon Bruxx. They're about $90 a dozen (carbon 23/64ths ID, which is 8mm I think). I haven't tried them but I've shot multiple Skylon shafts (Precium, Epics' and Brixxons') and they're fine, so I hope the Bruxx are too. From memory they're pretty light (6.6 @500sp etc) and their points are CHEAP and pins are usually included. Worth a try imo.

@@NPC-fl3gq I know about the brux. I'll be trying them for indoor barebow & get the 3 different points aswell. Would be interesting to see what pandarus comes up with though. They're pretty awesome to deal with. Right now i got the radius for barebow & performa for recurve. I can't fault either at the pricepoint they're at, it's pretty sweet.

PLEASE ask the owner of Pandarus to make an entry level aluminium/carbon arrows. Since the popular company stopped making the ACC,its becoming expensive for new archers to upgrade to Aluminium/carbon arrows without spending a fortune which some can't or won't spend that much.

pandarus x10 are those. Affordable for the price, but not super low.

@@shredfreak83 yeah,in the video Steven mentions "the possibility" of a cheaper version,I know they would be VERY popular here in the UK where we can't always use full carbon arrows due to using sports fields, the ACC's were a great affordable upgrade for new/intermediate archers.

Cartel offer “Striker” arrows. It’s aluminium carbon. Lancaster sold them at less than 10.00 each. Cartel arrows didn’t sell well due to the elephants in the room: Easton, gold tip, etc

Hi Steve, Are they going to make an equivalent x10 Protour shaft for compound?

I’ve heard that Pandanus arrows are manufactured by Ningo Musen Corporation, I think they will be on to a real winner if they produce a budget aluminium carbon. I think it would sell extremely well for the UK market because most clubs shoot on shared sports fields. All arrows must be found and the only way to do that is to use aluminium in the shaft so they can be found with a metal detector.

Have been shooting both ice points and the parallel Elites. Of the two I prefer the Elites. As has been said they are more forgiving even with bohning X vanes fitted

I don't mind competition in the arrow world but supporting spider vane rip offs is un ethical.
