Sigourney Weaver narrates this first look at the world of Pandora, as portrayed in James Cameron's epic new motion picture, Avatar. Opens worldwide December 18.
13 years later and we get to watch the long awaited sequel to this epic movie! Who is excited as I am ?!

The film is a very deeply researched mirror story with it roots within the symbiotic structures of our own world natural world , Cameron is deeply aware of this as it is a core part of his work as an explorer and he takes many examples from living real bioluminescent lifeforms here in earth. why the film resonates internally with so many people is in part due to our bridging awareness ,, there are some deeper layers of indigenous recognition that may be present ,, We know "Jake" Sully but could his name be in part recognition of the life work of Peace maker and leader as well Tree of peace planter "Jake" Swamp (note the number of letters in both names) his history on youtube , (Haudenosaunee nation of peoples) who is the Jigonsaseh ? And by what nickname are the "Erie" indigenous peoples known of as ?

I agree, the REAL world where we live in right now is better, some humans just don't appreciate it yet, but maybe after hundred of years of humanity slowly destroying our earth, and once the climate change hit its focal point, everybody will look back at earth's bio-diversity, vast rain forests, snow capped mountains and its irreplaceable beauty as how we look at pandora's beauty on this video right now.

Pandora was a real place. James Cameron is the real life version of Quaritch in the movie Avatar, but here on Earth today as a film producer. The idea of the movie Avatar was never dreamt up / imagined. The CGI Pandoran Universe is not a fictional realm, created by the mind of James Cameron with the help of an imaginative team of artists, but rather a simulated version of a true, ancient world ..
@simonmurray304

Jayden Dean Can I get some proof please?
@ambiphy1111
6 жыл бұрын
Proof is impossible for me to provide, however I can provide a great mound of evidence to support the claim that the movie Avatar not only reveals the nature of a once true, ancient world, but also the events that took place on this world. Please note that this is a `loaded subject` and the information required to bring someone to terms with this idea is huge. The `impossible` moon world, Pandora, which orbits a giant gas giant, Polyphemus is not only abundant in life but sustains an indigenous race of humanoids known as the `Na`vi`. Lets first compare this blue aliens` home world with our own. There is of course an immense difference between the dream-like landscapes of Pandora, with its ethereal jungles and vibrant array of life forms and the forest ecosystems, savannah grasslands and deserts of the Earth, all of which appear incredibly drab / life depleted in comparison. However the ancient Earth was once alien to the current world we know today. If one can imagine the largest of the supposed discovered titanosaurs, being as tall as a block flats, roaming Earth`s prehistoric terrain, one should see that our world would have appeared very alien to the world we know today. A world in which dinosaurs, surrounded with pine trees and volcanoes, roamed. However this belief of the prehistoric world is a kind of indoctrination. The world was far more superb in its glory. Mainstream`s teachings in cosmology would have the student believe that life is dependent on the white light, emanating sun. However the Electric Universe proposes that life sustaining worlds orbiting `black star` gas giants are not only possible, but are most probable. Not only does the Electric Universe `theory` explained by The Thunderbolts Project on youtube, suggest that these world orbits are most probable, but the research into the Electric Universe reveals the true ancient past of our own world. A world that has experienced many changes of sky. A world that has once been an orbiting body of different celestial giants, one of which is Saturn, known as the Black Star. Like a black light, saturn emanated an ultra violet light. This etheral light cocooned the Earth, immersed within Saturn`s plasma sheath. Ancient star saturn : saturndeathcult.com/the-sturn-death-cult-part-1/a-timeless-age-in-a-purple-haze/ Electric Universe : kzitem.info/news/bejne/lneLp2uOjGKFqXY For many ignorant fans, Polyphemus and all other magical components of the moon world, Pandora, have no relevence to reality, but are fictional ideas, created for the dream-like affect. One only has to set their eyes upon the milky way galaxy, to feel much contrast between our world and the sheer beauty of the stars. The cosmic, life potential, does not create the Amazonian jungles and the Papua New Guinean forests as it worlds` natural terrain, immersed within the spectacular, milky stream of star dust. This left over `algae`, people perceive as this world`s forests are the remains of vegetation, in the remnants of a once immense life abundant paradise, very similar to that of Pandora. The world we call Earth, an anagram of the word heart is a world made up of energy, a world comprised of light and sound waves. Deity is within the entire cosmic consciousness, and our world, much like a photon or an electron can be neither identified as a wave, nor as a particle. In the cosmic scale, our world behaves as a photon / electron. Everything within the cosmos is consciousness, every living thing, a spirit. Ancient man were in direct communication and harmony with mother Earth, just as the Na`vi with Pandora. The Na`vi call the spirit of Pandora, Ewya. The spirit name of Earth is Gaia. Pangea = Pan Gaia. Pan = Flat dish, the flat earth / wave formation perspective. Gea = Gaia. By calling our world Pangea, people immediately assume that one is referring to the ancient world, however the name Pangea, for me, personally, unites our world with the galaxy, on a conscious level. By naming our world Pangea, we perceive Earth as one of many Pangea-like planets. Naming our world Earth, tends to limit our perception of the possible / reality. The ancient Earth is nothing like we have been taught. www.collective-evolution.com/2014/11/17/enormous-footprint-discovered-in-south-africa-did-giants-once-roam-the-earth/ For these colossal sized inhabitants, in comparison with modern man, to have existed, one would believe they would have had to have been surrounded by an alien-like world of giant flora to match. These giants, referenced in the Bible as the Nephilim indicate not only a truly fantasy-like ancient world, but a clear denial of truth, taught via the educational systems. There is as much evidence of giants (fossil bones & remains / footprints) as there is of the dinosaurs. A cover up of Earth`s / Pangea`s ancient past & a cover of cosmological truth. Our world`s forests are no longer with us www.snopes.com/fact-check/ancient-giant-trees/ Please note - I do not believe that `Devils Tower` is a tree stump. However, I do believe that there are true remains of giant, megalithic trees. As I said, this is a loaded subject and it requires me to jump in and out of seemingly unrelated topics, though each are very much connected. The Na`vi, are a feline-like race. Notice the tail, the faint stripes, the cat-like nose, the cat-like eyes etc. The aggressor on Pangea and on Pandora, take on a reptilian form. This is why on one occassion there is a dragon, symbolising the reptilian presence, on one side of the air craft of the RDA, and a tiger, symbolising the Na`vi, on the other. Since this is a huge subject just ask for more info, as I havent even touched the surface, yet look how long this comment is lol .. Truth resonates. Lies do not.

I wasn't a huge fan of Avatar's plot and of the old "humans are evil" theme, but as far as worldbuilding and sci-fi hardness goes, I'll have to concede that this is the best sci-fi movie that the west has produced in the last four decades. Everything in the movie world is well thought out and obeys the laws of physics. I would give anything to have a movie in the same world, but with a more optimistic theme and plot like in star trek. I hope James Cameron uses the opportunity given to him by the sequels to produce something with a more interesting plot. For example, more human factions than just RDA(the corporation in the movie). And also more complex interactions between the different Na'vi tribes.
@ChesoXD

Thomas Gaskas That much is obvious. But when every damn movie does that it only feels lazy and not particularly creative. Specifically, I'd like a movie that sets a positive example of what a high tech society *should* look like, rather than being lectured on the evils of our current society. People can understand these by themselves very well, thankyouverymuch. The only thing a chain of dystopian sci-fi movies will realistically do is make people anti-science and paranoid about any technological advancement or change. The message in Nolan's movie was *far* more insightful than the one in Avatar or Elysium: _"We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt."_
@ChesoXD

BosonCollider Oh yes Interstellar was much better.
@BosonCollider

Thomas Gaskas Yes, do keep on explaining the obvious in every movie's message. The difference between interstellar and the other movies I quoted is that the protagonists actually _do_ something about the hardships they face, and eventually solve their problems with technology by moving out into O'Neill cylinders such as the Cooper station we see at the end. The movie ends with an optimistic view of human expansion into space. Also, to correct a misunderstanding you seem to have, it wasn't the humans that ruined Earth in interstellar, but the bacterial blight: interstellarfilm.wikia.com/wiki/The_Blight The early part of the movie was a criticism of the whole ecowarrior ideology that if we somehow reduce our consumption to pre-industrial levels, the Earth will somehow turn into a sentient deity and protect us. The universe is completely indifferent to human survival. If we want to guarantee our survival, we need to actively develop the technology to build self-sufficient biospheres from scratch, rather than passively expecting Earth to support us.
@BosonCollider
9 жыл бұрын
An additional comment on interstellar: The blight in the movie is not without historical precedent. The oxygen catastrophe 2.3 billion years wiped out 99% of all life on Earth, because the first photosynthesizing organisms showed up and filled out atmosphere with the incredibly aggressive gas we call oxygen. This could happen again. If microbes suddenly showed up that converted our atmosphere into say, nitrogen tetroxide, the current life on Earth would not stand much of a chance.

Avatar gets a lot of flack for having a cliche plot and I can agree that the story line is not new or unique. But it's still one of my favorite movies of all time just because of the thought, beauty, and creativity put into the planet. As a Biologist, I love how much science there is to the biology of Pandora and it makes the movie so much fun for me to watch. It's not unlike Earth and it's such a shame people don't appreciate how much beauty we have here (which we're steadily destroying).

@ThePantyDroper Here in rural VN is very beautiful. Colorful chickens running around, bamboo forests, and beautiful birds. Sunrises with dew and brilliant sunsets. Nights full of stars. Even big dirty cities like Bangkok Thailand have awesome birds like GaoWao. Nothing in Avatar sounds better than those birds. That city has beautiful temples that shine during sunrises. Earth's beauty is different than Pandora but Earth has a lot. Just carefully and you guys can find it everywhere!

Well technically the planet is inhabitable by Humans, they just need breathing apparatuses because the atmosphere has a high concentration of a certain gas. Other than that it seems the planet has a fairly pleasant climate. Not even any apparent radiation problems from the Gas Giant it's orbiting.

Also, have you seen some of the shit this planet is trying to throw at us? If one of those Na'vi could breathe oxygen and came down here, hed probably catch a cold in the first few minutes and die. From a fucking cold. And that's just bacteria. I've always held the belief that insects are complete fucking endgame, simply because of bees. That level of shared intelligence and society is only found in other hive-minded insects and us. And believe me, they are much better at that. The only thing stopping bees, or really, any hive mind inscet from taking over is true sentience, and by then? were fucked.

Living information is energy that uses the intellect merely as a conduit, passing thru it with its goal being the heart centre. Some people have complained that the story of Avatar is 'too simple' but Cameron made it like this so that no-one had to struggle with complexities causing it to get stuck on the way thru..and so that children could enjoy it too. This was not weakness on his part as a writer. He could have hired other writers with that huge budget, but the story works as it is meant to.
