There's reasons why a person might not have had a relationship with their own sex yet. The opportunity might just not have come up. It literally only took one day for people to say a couple who looks straight shouldn't be welcome at pride or other events gay people go to, even though both members of the couple they were slandering for being "straight" were bisexual. It seems like they hate us because in their eyes, we're not gay enough. Being bisexual isn't cool or trendy with the kids anymore, being trans, non-binary, aroace and polyamorous or whatever else (or multiple things at once) is now, so we're "too normal""too straight". @dollguts9801 you need to consideration we have 2 sex male and female. Been gay is someone of the male sex been attracted to someone of the male sex- a gay male would not be attracted to a trans man as they don't have the right sexual parts. And visa versa for lesbians. The issue arises because we use gender and sex interchangeable so it should be a gay male rather than a gay man. This has happened because man is predominantly linked to the male sex The gender social construct of a woman is predominantly linked to the female sex but it's never been exclusive. Trans women , intersex women and xy intersex women including xy intersex women that have given birth are all the gender of woman even though they aren't the female sex. gender is a social construct that constantly evolves what a woman was in the 1900's is completely different from what a woman was in the 1950's or 70's, but the female sex didn't change. I read one book by a sex therapist who mentioned that most men's magazines are filled with pics of women. But most women's magazines are also filled with women. We're the ones that typically go out of our way to be attractive, dressing up, putting on makeup, doing our hair for hours, etc. I've felt attracted to women and thought I was bi but now I realize that it's just the thing that the therapist was talking about. I recognize women's sexiness and it makes me feel sexy. I know I don't want a romantic relationship with women and never have, although I made out with some.
@emiliah2853
3 ай бұрын
I think we're also able to see other women as beautiful without actual sexual or romantic attraction, because historically women have largely had to rely on other women. We *need* to be drawn to other women for help, comfort and friendship. Other women were (and are) around us from the moment we were born, to our last breath. Who held the woman who had been in labour for hours, even days when she gave birth in the cave? Whose face did her daughter see when she first opened her eyes? Who nursed her child when she was too weak? Who brought her food? Who held her hand and shared her sorrow when she had to bury yet another child, or when her husband and sons were sent to war? When a woman died, who carefully washed her body in candlelight, braided her hair and dressed her for one last time? Other women. We're naturally drawn to other women, because we need them. That's why I think those women who see other women as competition and even go as far as to avoid them tend to not do that well in life. From my experience, they are often quite lonely and miserable people even if on paper they are doing well, have the house, the job, the clothes and all that, and they take those feelings on the other women who they think are just out there to compete with them 😕 I also went through a period as a young teen where I though I might be bi, because I was bullied a lot, especially by boys my age, so when another girl was nice to me I always felt drawn to her. Thanks to the internet I thought that might be romantic attraction, instead of you know, just good ol' platonic interest. That was back in the early 2010s and since then social media has gotten much worse. There are so many young straight women identifying as "queer" or whatever, because their social and emotional growth was damaged during the pandemic years and social media is telling them all these weird ideas.

If you were a lesbian or bi, there really wouldn't be any doubt about wanting to have sex with other women. You'd fantasise about it, and you'd want it, the idea would be nothing but appealing. But never mind, somebody has to be heterosexual I suppose! Birth the next generation and all that! I think a lot of what you're talking about is women's need to compare themselves with each other. A lot of these people are fakers, but it's regressive to say "you're gonna grow out of this" Even straight girls using their bi friends as spice in their sex live may stop swinging, but did she really grow out of it? The prefix a- just means "not". In biology, asexual reproduction mean reproducing without syngamy (gamete fusion). The organism may be either haploid or diploid, but either way is capable of reproducing without sex. That does not apply to any human who ever lived. People describing themselves as asexual are just disinterested in sex. Used to be described as low libido. But that doesn't get you on the modern gender bandwagon, let alone up the hierarchy.

@@cradica Chances are your brain is different chemically or physically to people who do feel sexual attraction. I wouldn't say this is something inherently bad or that makes you "broken" as a human though. I get called "broken" for being autistic, but different does not mean broken. It is just different. It just is. If someone never wants to have sex, that isn't any of my business. The only time I dislike anything related to aroace people are the gen alpha kids who identity as it when they're so young they're probably still in the "ew cooties" phase, not asexual, and crusade against shipping or romance/sex ever being depicted in fiction again since it doesn't cater to their personal "ew gross" feelings. I worry that people are making big decisions on too little evidence, backed up by masses of people thinking the same thing in an online echo chamber. Of course that also explains much of the modern trans-cult. I worry "asexual" people might be missing out on relationships that they might enjoy, in a social group that's the blind leading the blind. I've occasionally come across stuff from their groups. There's a lot about how they're superior to the sex-wanting masses. How sex-havers are indescriminate dogs who'll bone anything because of their low, animal drives. They don't have the self-control of asexuals and are probably less intelligent too. Does stink of copium, sometimes. I can't claim to be an expert, but I'm a human being like any other, and what I know of it doesn't sit right. It's a worry. Still, they're not cutting their tits off or getting their cock out in women's changing rooms. Could be worse.

I thought it was a new wokie term but then I learned that someone came up with it in late 90s to include trans people in their dating pool. It sounds odd to me that it needs a whole new sexuality because I've always assumed that finding trans people (the actual ones, not the fakers ofc) attractive is a bisexual thing.
@greenaum
3 ай бұрын
Oh, Trans people are included in your dating pool anyway. Whether you want them or not! They'll push their way into lesbian dating apps, purely so they can badger you about your not wanting their dick. Or beard. Or personality. They surely can't be expecting to find an actual lesbian to date so I'm assuming that's the only reason. Maybe they think they can get some young, woke, naive lesbian whose bed they can badger their way into. Usually transbians end up hooking up with each other though. Buttbanging each other into a frenzy of lesbianism. Because a lesbian relationship can involve zero vaginas. If an actual female lesbian complains, they're the one who gets the boot. Even though it's completely pointless. You'd think dating app companies would be more mercenary and go with the money. I suppose because it's just 2 or 3 big conglomerates who own all the different sites, though, they have to consider their public image across all the other non-lesbian sites, and go along with the bullshit that ordinary people don't really understand, but try to be well-meaning about even if they don't actually care. So you go the PR-friendly route.

Well, pansexuality existed before wokeness... It was a term used to describe someone that can be attracted to others, even without knowing their gender (like androgenous people or something). When I was young, we also used to use that term for people attracted to trans but that still had some parts from their biological sex, as it was not fully heterosexual, nor bi, because usually, people would still date the same sex "presenting". I describe myself as bi, as I can date either male or female but I need the body parts and behavior usually associated with the sex, but my partner could describe as pansexual, as he doesn't care what you have between your legs. And we're not that young nor woke. I also used "could" because we don't really care about labels, as long as you don't hurt anyone, do whatever you want.

I even thought I was bigender or genderfluid. Turns out I'm a bisexual girl who finally found her place as one. Just because I don't love all things girly and like some 'tomboyish' things, doesn't make me trans or non binary!! I can love bows one day and like jerseys the next. That doesn't mean I'm genderfluid either. It's really not that hard to be a normal human being, even with having possible mental disorders like me(I'm not diagnosed at all, I just have a hunch that there's something going on).

I’m bi (and a woman) and have known since middle school and during my freshman year of high school, my bf would always say to me and other people “well I’m ~pan~” like he was better than me and I had to hold myself back from telling him that we’re the same 😂

I swear I saw internal Cis phobia/heterophobia in action with a man who literally told me he felt guilty for being a cis straight man in his friend group of trans identifying people! Later, he identified as nonbinary and pansexual 🙃

Upped the game. Now that he is pan, he can make others feel guilty 🥳

If you feel guilty for merely existing in a room full of your ‘friends’ then they aren’t really your friends No-one should be made to feel guilty for inherent things about themselves that they didn’t choose and can’t change

I think a problem with pansexual is just how identical it is to bisexual by definition and it makes it super confusing. When i originally came out to my parents, i said "i think I'm bi but maybe pan idk" because i genuinely didnt know which one was correct. I know now that pansexuality is purely based in gender idioligy and dont go by it, but until i knew that i was super confused🤣

Im a straight woman who let a woman kiss me once. I figured why not try it - Im open minded. It did nothing for me though so Im still straight.

I am a straight woman and in my 20s I was ALLLL about kissing. Loved to just kiss/makeout. I also think that women are beautiful. I used to "hook-up" with girls. But I was always clear that all I wanted was kissing. I made out with plenty of straight women that wanted that kind of affection & fun, yes fun, without being pressured to do more. Do I consider women attractive, yes. Did I ever want to have sex with any of these women, no. It was fun & harmless. And yes I have always considered myself heterosexual.

Arielle talked in a video about how most women are prob technically bi-sexual, but not bi-romantic. I had a thing once or twice w my best girl friend from college (once w her boyfriend at the time) & I would rather watch girl on girl *orn than hetero *orn but i could never see myself in a relationship w a woman.

Bi-erasure as usual. Almost everyone in my life that I have met never viewed me as a valid bi-sexual person. Sometimes it does get frustrating that I am expected to "prove" something to someone.

Ty, I always thought bisexual was what a pansexual really was...I agree with you on the genders. This labeling and redefining is nuts

Amazing how much trouble and chaos people cook up when they’re bored. These folks need a real hobby, and need to learn some real life skills.

I’m bisexual and that’s the only term I’d use to describe my sexuality, but at the same time there’s so much more to a person and me than sexuality.
