Really its not. It wasnt released by a major label and the band stopped playing the songs they wrote when Darrell was a teen

@The Beach Guy You are correct but its because They only wanted to play songs written by all 4 of them. Pantera owns the rights to the 80s albums. They could of made a fortune re-releasing Power Metal alone. What people fail to realize is they had almost entirely omitted even CFH songs from the setlist eventually. Phil was still so young he considers Vulgar the first real Pantera record. I always thought it showed a lot of artistic integrity that they chose to pass on the $$$ and keep only the highest quality most recent albums that they wrote together available.

It is Phil Anselmo. Anselmo got the job in Pantera because of the voice he had at that time. The Anselmo everyone knows came later when they changed to succeed. To relaunch them selves and Metal

The Abbot bros. were amazing musicians. 90's Pantera is great, but this is 80's heavy metal at its finest. Phil's vocals are top notch.

I fucking hate glam rock and I don't really consider this power metal album glam metal.. def leppard, motley crue, and Cinderella type bands are glam in my opinion. As Dave from megadeth once said glam metal stands for "Gay LA Metal" because every one of those bands was from LA lmao.

This intro sounds exactly like journey's only the young off of the vision quest sound track. Compare the two you'll see that they are almost exactly alike.

Never released because they considered CFH their debut as its the 1st album PHILIP wrote WROTE WROTE with the band.

It was. These were the albums produced by their father. They were produced in a recording studio that he worked at. They just weren't commercially successful because he had to fit the bill for those early albums. It was until cowboys from hell that they actually got signed to a record label.

Great guitarists such as myself and many others incorporate all their heroes and or mentors until you find the perfect blend that also sounds like you.. Took me a long time to come up with my own sound!! In a world with some stiff competition it’s difficult to be original!!
