They are doing great. I've seen Pantera in 94 and the sound is extremely close. Charlie is shadowing Vince impeccably. Zakk is doing very well also. His palm muting and tightness isn't the same as Dime but that's what make us unique. The guitar has far more dynamics in playing than hitting the drums in terms of pick attack, bends, harmonics etc. Dime was very unique which makes him hard to mimic.

I was 13 in 91 when I saw Pantera. I started playing guitar at 6 and was into all kinds of music and influenced by my older cousin who got me into bands like DRI, SOD, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica. Show blew me away. I got to meet Dime that night briefly and he couldn't have been nicer. As I got older, metal wasn't my main mix but man, Pantera was and is one of my go to bands for whenever and just because. Dime will always be one of my favorite guitar players. His murder is one that will forever be a huge WHY to me. I wish Dime, Vin and Phil could have made peace. Rest easy to the brothers.

I remember walking past these dudes in a rural Oklahoma town and they were jamming some killer metal on the truck stereo while parked in a driveway. I walked about two more houses down and then turned around and walked up to them asking, " who the hell is that band?" Pantera one of them told me. I said "damn!" Had never heard such brutal metal with so much melody. It was of course cowboys from hell not long after it was released. 60 years old now and still loving it. I pray that the Abbott brothers are somewhere looking down on this tribute and happy with the legacy they left behind. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie. You created this brutal beautiful beast.
