couldn't agree more. it's so much up-to-date. great voice (reminds me of Andriano Celentano), great music and great lyrics. i just heard it and i think it's a masterpiece. a genuinely political song about a fact: people's lost humanism and the victory of unhuman over human feelings and freedom. This speech that is heard (somenone wrote, it Charlie Chaplin. didn't knew. thnx) is inspiring and points the facts and thoughts that we all face these days. and was written so many years ago. Tyrants and Dictators can also be found hidden in democracies also. so let us all be aware, be human, be kind (by the deepest meaning) to all others and look for all people's prosperity and well being. Peace and love is the answer to many problems throughout years, but these days we have to be more than romantic. let's hope people and Life will prevail. good day to all of you. no matter where from....

"To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - The bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power They took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish... Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men Machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful To make this life a wonderful adventure Let us use that power - let us all unite."

@@camronmabrysr6902 once all terrorist are demolished ,then people can be freed. But as long as one collection of people an kill and hurt others in the name of their own personal agendas, then no one can be free, ever ! All peoples of every land on Earth should be able to have their own beliefs . When you are dead, what matter does it make ,who lived on what lands or what your faith was. Only GOD knows this. People are but dust in the wind, and to dirt you shall return. Now or later it dies not matter. What matters is the hate you carry inside for people you do not even know. You know not their family ,their children, nor how much they loved each other or how many sorrows and tears they cried to see their loved ones die. Innocent people on both sides are suffering in these useless wars. All Carried out by hate and evil black hearted people that have cold souls. So called leaders that trick innocent people into believing their cause is just and right. But NO cause is just and right, if it cost the lives or torture of innocent people .

The first time I heard this track a few months ago I was in my car and it came on the radio. Wow! It moved me to tears. Not weepy little tears either. But, full-on waterworks. Sure, music can move me to tears simply because it's so fucking beautiful. However, I usually have memories associated with the song as well. I've never, ever been moved to tears after hearing a track for the first time before. In fact, I suspect it will prove to be the first and only time. THAT is how exceptionally special this song is. It's a masterpiece and I'm baffled as to why it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

@@scarlettskies100 Forgive the delay in responding. Yes. Absolutely, a masterpiece and I still fill up every time as well. No doubt it's the lyrics, in combination with the sad quality the music provides that triggers this response. When I first heard it, I thought it was much, much older (like from the 60's). Perhaps the fact it's recent is why it remains relatively unnoticed. It's as if it was made far too late. That said, the lyrics are perfect for the time we live in and reflect how the orange idiot has been such a bad influence on the world.

Unite as People, but remain free as individuals. Groups are more easily influenced, where the free thinking individual derives meaning from ones self and experience not others. Group think can be dangerous, it leads to brutal regimes if not careful. Dictators don't like free thinkers. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You, the people, have the power to make this life. Free and beautiful. To make this life a wonderful adventure. Let us use that power - let us all unite!” [Chorus: Paolo Nutini] And we’ll rise Over love Over hate Through this iron sky that’s fast becoming our mind Over fear and into freedom Into freedom [Chorus: Paolo Nutini] From which we’ll rise, over love Over hate Through this iron sky that’s fast becoming our mind Over fear and into Freedom, freedom From which we’ll rise, over love Over hate Through this iron sky that’s fast becoming our mind Over fear and into freedom Freedom, freedom [Outro: Paolo Nutini] Oh, rain on me Rain on me

Look at what we're going through now... We must be triumphant, and it starts in the mind. How so very relevant.

World stage, sorry you’ve been brainwashed to buy this Ukraine bs. It’s a world stage, everyone’s in on it but us. No ones getting hurt but us, divisions, we should be uniting as one against the system that has enslaved us. But you’re watching the news and thinking it’s real😔

Sooo true. This song and the brilliant speech excerpt of Charlie Chaplin from The Great Dictator ( watch the whole clip on You Tube I say) , Is a universal message of strength and hope that good will triumph over evil.
