I use the tiny leaves, (smaller than a finger nail) because they have the most delicate flavor - imagine a citrusy arugula instead of a peppery arugula. The large leaves taste horrible and don't even resemble the delicate flavor of the tiny ones. I use them "as is" on avocados (no need to cut such tiny leaves). You don't even need to make guacamole - just quarter the avocados, squeeze fresh lemon over them and add some sea salt. Top with a liberal amount of tiny papalo leaves. You won't thank me enough!

Pásalo is best Aztec herb and, If you can have a nice avocado taco with grill onion, hot grill Serrano and chicharrón and the papalo on the top of the taco, you are not gonna believe how delicious is…

Hello again! Mexican cuisine is totaly unknown to me (in Germany) so I would be thankfull to get a recipe for a salsa. How do YOU make it? Thanks in advance!

Here is a link to the base recipe that I use for canning salsa: www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/zesty-salsa-for-canning-97428 I don't use that much hot pepper and I use more cilantro but the base recipe is the same. If you want fresh salsa just chop up some tomatoes, onions, green bell and jalepeno peppers, garlic and add salt and pepper to taste. Squeeze one whole lime over it and mix. Eat it within a day. (That won't be difficult) Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the link, but the www isn't ww any longer, so it seems. They said this: This site is not available in your country. Anyway, you told me much of it, and I think I can find out. cu

I have not been able to get them to go to seed yet. More experimentation is needed. They are a really neat plant though!
