Part 25 of a video walkthrough for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for the Switch. In this part, Mario and friends go through the vents, which allows them to get inside Grubba's office. They realize Grubba is the villain, who has been making fighters disappear. They chase Grubba to the fighting arena, where Grubba reveals a strange machine. It uses the crystal star to suck power from fighters, then gives it to Grubba, in order to make Grubba strong and young.
Grubba transforms into Macho Grubba, for this battle. Macho Grubba has the ability to give himself two moves per turn. Mario has some tough luck with the battle, when he's frozen twice. Mario's luck changes, when Grubba is frozen for two turns. Grubba's next turn is spent using his "get two moves per turn" ability, which means there are three turns in a row, where Grubba doesn't attack. That allows Mario to win the battle easily.
Once Grubba is defeated, it's revealed that Jolene is the older sister of Prince Mush. She got the job here, to learn what happened to her brother. She is the mysterious X. She was purposely guiding Mario into discovering Grubba's secret, because she correctly thought Mario could stop Grubba. There is a happy moment, when the crystal star reverses Grubba's cruel actions. Prince Mush and the other fighters are brought back to full health!
