Mike is such an underrated songwriter. I feel like most casuals and general ppl dont even know that Mike writes and produces most of Linkin Park's songs. His duality/variety is insane from writing Papercut, One Step Closer to songs like Breaking The Habit, In The End, to songs like My December, Castle of Glass. Just so insanely talented. He deserves more recognition.

I'm 40 years old now from Indonesia, heavily depressed, anxiety, & suicidal. I admit that when I was young, I never really liked Linkin Park. But now, as my life keep failing into crumbles, I've started to deeply appreciate all their songs (music & the lyrics especially). I never knew that Chester Bennington have actually been singing about depression (& perhaps many other mental illness, pain, & struggles). Their 'dark' lyrics is what actually makes me deeply relate now every time I listen to their songs.

Nicholas Berry Schizophrenia isn’t the only disorder that causes psychosis. There is a subtype of depression called psychotic depression. PTSD can also have elements of hallucinations and delusions. And of course bipolar type 1 mania can reach a point of psychosis -someone who has gone through all three with schizophrenia being ruled out by multiple certified doctors.
@celexia4
4 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Berry depression doesn’t just sap your will to live. It also causes your internal “voice” to engage in negative self talk. It’s not an actual voice, more along the lines of dark thoughts that you can’t stop thinking. Haven’t you ever thought something about yourself, negative or positive, that’s the “voice” inside your head. Also, depression doesn’t manifest the same way to everyone. That’s why some people can manage on the same medications for life, others need to change their dosing and medications regularly and still others take their own lives. It’s why some people get stuck in a pit of despair while others become hyper aggressive.

Paranoia's all I got left I don't know what stressed me first Or how the pressure was fed But I know just what it feels like To have a voice in the back of my head Like a face that I hold inside A face that awakes when I close my eyes A face that watches every time I lie A face that laughs every time I fall (And watches everything) So I know that when it's time to sink or swim That the face inside is here in me Right underneath my skin It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back It's like a whirlwind inside of my head It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin I know I've got a face in me Points out all my mistakes to me You've got a face on the inside, too And your paranoia's probably worse I don't know what set me off first But I know what I can't stand Everybody acts like the fact of the matter Is I can't add up to what you can But everybody has a face that they hold inside A face that awakes when I close my eyes A face that watches every time they lie A face that laughs every time they fall (And watches everything) So you know that when it's time to sink or swim That the face inside is watching you, too Right inside your skin It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back It's like a whirlwind inside of my head It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within It's like the face inside is right beneath the skin It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back It's like a whirlwind inside of my head It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin The face inside is right beneath your skin The face inside is right beneath your skin The face inside is right beneath your skin The sun goes down I feel the light betray me The sun goes down I feel the light betray me (The sun)It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back It's like a whirlwind inside of my head It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within It's like the face inside is right beneath the skin(I feel the light betray me) (The sun)It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back It's like a whirlwind inside of my head It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within(I feel the light betray me) It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within (It's like)It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin

People bitching about the new LP aren't truly LP fans. If you were a fan you would adapt to change. I personally love their new album as well as everything else they've done.

Psycho Flash ***** At last a couple of people that make sense So tired of seeing people defending Linkin Park and other contemporary bands that currently overuse electronic/dubstep/whatever sound. Who cares about being a "real fan" anyway TDIReloaded? Listen to whatever album/song you want according to your musical taste, it's not a competition of who's a bigger fan.

"The Hunting Party" is very similar to "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora". But i still love everything they made. Listen to their song "War" and you'll regret saying that it doesnt sound like their old stuff.

Papercut is the reason I bought Hybrid Theory. A friend of mine and I went out one night and stopped at a Circuit City. They had their little music listening stations for up and coming artists. One of them was Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory. I remember being entranced by the cover image and decided to listen. The only track I could listen to was Papercut. It was so awesome and amazing sounding. I showed it to my friend, and he loved it too. So I bought the CD. As we were driving home, we put it in the CD player, and after Papercut, it went to One Step Closer. And that's when I knew I had a winner. Not only had I heard OSC on the radio and loved it, but the raw power of the music was intoxicating. I've been a die-hard LP fan since, with the Hybrid Theory album cover tattooed on my right calf, and a memorial to Chester on my left forearm.

I was 5 years old riding on the back of my grandpa's moped at the beach when I saw something flashy in the sand. We stopped and I found a hybrid theory disk laying face down in the sand. Took it home cleaned it off and popped it in my CD player. Hybrid Theory segwayed me into the world of rock and roll and I'll always love Linkin Park for that.
