In my experience that style of button compass actually works pretty good

Yea I have quite a few of them and I always check them with a suunto compass to make sure they are close then I put them in a kit. They are usually good enough to get you in the direction you need to go

It's good to know your bearings at your home to check a compass. I'm fortunate enough to be in a house that is built facing north, which I verified using the star Polaris, i.e. Alpha Ursae Minoris.

I used to belong to a sick and twisted little online group where we kept making smaller and smaller kits. After my aspirin tin kit there was no going any smaller. My question to you is, have you ever made a complex kit in a tic tac container for fifth pocket carry?

How large? I always thought one with a billiard ball would be ideal.

@@dirtyscoundrel2013 haha I never did one quite that big I the biggest I ever did was on a 1.5 inch steel ball bearing.

I've never been a fan of premade kits. They're usually about 90% garbage. But I do enjoy seeing them.

Me too. I would much rather see someone put together a kit for their own skill set and environment but these are awesome just to see what these company’s can squeeze into each one

I've seen people make their own junk drawer... uh home made kits, which are also garbage. Sometimes you just gotta buy and go my man.

@@puppiesarepower3682yep it’s not always an option to build your own kit I like for people to price out each item and see what they can make for 15 bucks I would be curious how it would stack against this kit
