Paramotor/powered paraglider/ppg/paragliding training debate... Can you actually learn how to fly a paramotor inland? Can it really be done? NO! When picking your paramotor training class, the location is one of the MOST IMPORTANT things you look at....
Here's why - In order to learn to fly a paramotor you need to spend anywhere from 25 hours to 60 hours on the ground, glider attached to you, practicing what you are doing. Within these 25-60 hours you will practice the same motions over and over again building the muscle memory and reflexes you NEED to know before you take your first flight.
Things like
1. Body posture
2. Reverse cross control
3. Weight shift forward and reverse
4. Straight line control
5. Moving with the glider
6. Keeping it above your head
7. Touching wingtips
8. Loading control
9. Preventing collapses
10. Preventing and recovering from stalls
11. Forward control
12. Run and jumps
AND MORE...
Now the tough part and the part that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to learn inland is that in order to spend the time you need to on these things you have to have wind.
You have to be able to keep the glider above your head in order to practice enough times for it to become muscle memory.
Which means you need 7-15mph of wind for 25-60 hours. The problem with inland is that the wind just DOESN'T BLOW...
So that means you often skip out on the important training you need and fail to learn what you need to learn.
Where as at Super Training down in Corpus Christi, Texas, you can and will spend the 25-60 hours with the glider learning each and every step before you ever take your first flight.
Now, I only do 5 classes a year with 12 students a class.
My 2021 classes are:
January 15-26
April 2-13
June 11-22
August 13-24
November 5-16
If your ready to take your first flight, Super Training is my 10-day paramotor training school where I personally take you from never having touched the glider to a master pilot in only 10-days. I do 5 training classes a year with 15 students a class down in Corpus Christi, Texas. I've been running these training classes for 18 years and have trained over 700 students safely.
