Thirty years ago my wife and I were looking for a house to buy out in the country. We find a place for sale and knocked on the door , no answer. We wanna have a look around so I go thru a window and open the door. There are boxes everywhere but not in any order and I got the impression that these folks were in a hurry. The oddest thing was all the garlic hanging up in the house. We got nervous and bounced. A few days later and just by coincidence I had to make a delivery in the area so I decide to return to the house for another look. I go thru the window again and standing there looking around I DISTINCTLY here my wife talking in one of the bedrooms and I think wow what are the chances that she is here with a realtor as I just happen by?!!! Also I think it strange that I didn’t see any cars in the driveway. “Honey I’m here” I say as I walk to the bedroom that my wife is not in and nobody I can see is there….. then it all hit me ,, GHOSTS!! Fudge that!! The sellers had a problem and strung up all the garlic to ward off evil spirits but ended up leaving all their stuff half packed and got the hell outta there!! And so did I. I have two more stories but in all cases nothing sinister happened and even a big ghost seemed more afraid of me than I of it, strange I know.

My parents told me about their first apartment where the landlady knocked on my parent's door, my mom opened the door as far as the slide chain would allow, and "something" grabbed my mom by her shoulder and pushed her down to her knees...a while the slide chain was still hooked. Months later, the new landlord showed up to collect the rent money and disclosed he actually had inherited the house from his relative. His relative matched the description of the landlady who knocked on the door the three months earlier when my mom was pushed down to her knees from *inside* the apartment. The landlady had died. The year before.

@HearthStoned regardless lets say ghosts are real. It's going to be nothing like a movie with it dragging you through the house to torment and such things. Otherwise proof would be easy. Any "real" footage of a ghost, disregarding the easily explainable outcomes, like what can they do, open some cabinets and make an electric toy go off? It's an annoyance at best but nothing to be terrified over, least that's how I see it. I welcome one to prove me otherwise though.

When I was 13, we moved into a new home. One night, out the blue, I got terrified. Wasn’t sure why, but I was terrified. I was laying in bed with the blanket over my head. Suddenly, I felt a woman’s hand (the nails gave it away) gently caress my thigh. I lost my shit and ran to my parents. After that, I saw the dark shadow man with the fedora and trench coat many other people have seen. Never seen anything since we moved.

In my high school, the theatre was also haunted and one of my weird teachers, and I mean WEIRD teachers made a class elective about ghosts in my high school.. and the class would have to spend the night in the auditorium and hear and see things happening… the upstairs addict above the auditorium was a all nice and neat until the class hurt a bunch of banging and noises and voices so they go up there to find all the chairs were stacked on top of one another… I couldn’t handle that class so I switched to sowing 😂

I did a Ouija board on top of a crypt in Chesham St Mary's graveyard with a mate and when I'd got home and gone to bed, I woke up to my forearm moving violently up and down, slamming my arm into my mattress. I opened my eyes and saw a decaying arm coming up from the side of my bed (my bed was against my bedroom wall) and it wasnt until I shook my head and closed my eyes and reopened them that my arm stopped moving and fell to the mattress

Last year I went on a cycling ride to a waterfall with my friends, and my friend experienced something very similar. We rode our bicycles there back to back for 2 days. It was a beautiful place but it gave me the feeling like something's off. First day nothing happened. On the second day, I wake up freezing . Like literally feeling like I have got hypothermia or something. I decide to go anyways. I was feeling extremely cold while cycling (and this is summer time ). We get there , and my friends go swimming but I refused. I was feeling somewhat better now. One of my friend hears a wierd growling noise and there's nothing or no one there except us. Then my other friend's feet gets cut by a sharp rock. We pack up and decide to head home. The next day my friend who heard those wierd noises tells me what happened with him while he went to sleep and it was exactly as you described. It happened to him for about 10 days . We were all terrified. Never going to that place again.

I remember one time in my moms office when I was younger, we were in seperate rooms where she was in the office and I was just in one of those blank rooms with like a desk and whatnot. So nobody was there except for me and her at the time and a stapler got thrown off a shelf in one of the cubical. It’s not like it fell, no it was like MULTIPLE feet away so that’s really the only ghost experience I’ve had.

Always.. just about always the "ghost" pulls ppl by the feet. It happened to my mom. She said it was the recent death of her aunt who especially loved my mom, and they sometimes want you to come with them. But definitely in all stories I've heard.. they always seem to pull at the feet or take the quilt off as happened to me when I was hiding underneath in fetal position, eyes closed tight wishing whatever I felt in the room would just go away. It did. That feeling I will never forget..
