I've been following this chanel for several years now, and the prospect of dinosaur stuff kinda scared me bc of the JW-esque ""raptor"" head thing, but, honestly, for a stylized Parasaurolophus head this is very nice accuracy-wise, the crest shape is right and it has the cute hadrosaur bill, it's pretty and it makes me very happy even just looking at it.

Thank you! I just have one more dino pattern to make and that's the Trex (still have to make a video about the triceratops head) and while there are things I could improve with each pattern I make, the important thing is that they get done. Because I'm learning a lot with each pattern I complete. After the dinos I plan to make a dragon skull, werewolf and khajit inspired one. I don't know that strict accuracy will ever be my goal, but having it feel right is important to me

Would hot glue work instead of contact cement? Or is there any other adhesive I could use other than contact cement? I’m looking forward to getting the pattern.

God I want to be my favourite dinosaur for halloween 😭 Anyone done this in cardboard? Anyone tried this while wearing glasses underneath? I’ve made several cardboard masks before but I’d like to try this to get a feel for how to make a functional moving jaw before I go off the rails. And this sure would be a pretty halloween costume 😍
@KazplayVideos

I haven't personally tried this one out of cardboard yet. I imagine that the crest would be the hardest thing to get lined up. Foam is more forgiving because it can squish. I think it might be a little easier with cardstock. Then you can reinforce it after with papermache. The moving jaw technique on this pattern should still work with cardboard/cardstock

Love this! Just an fyi, sweat totally undoes the glue so sealing is really important (atleast over the seems). I've seen Evil Ted cover seems that are in contact with the body in latex and felt to help too. Can't wait for the rex btw!

I was wrong about the felt, that was just for comfort but the latex is for sealing those seams from sweat. He talks about it in his video on Female Body Armor Tutorial Part 3.

I don’t have any experience on this exactly, but I imagine it’s rather the oils on the skin doing it. fat solves fat and thus any structures dependent on fat is solved by other fat coming into contact with it. Silicone and some plastics are dependent on the fat in them and if that gets solved its structure fails. This is also what happens when you use poster putty with certain plastics, as well as that thing with silicone lube.

So I would love to make this, but whenever I go to print this off, it layers all of the binders of the pdf together in the print even though I have specific pages selected. I also tried saving the pages I needed to print in their own file before printing them and it did the same thing. Not sure if anyone has had the same problem but I could really use some help!

Yes! Please email me or DM me on Etsy(if you bought it there) the first file had a glitch in it that causes it show that way. You can try opening your file in an actual PDF reader, like Adobe Acrobat, instead of a browser. And when you contact me I will send you an updated file where that will not be a problem. I'm so sorry I didn't catch it earlier!
