Imagine Willie in today’s media world! A guy that never seemed to stop smiling, and oozed charisma, and today’s MLB has no 485’ center fields (485!!), so give Willie another 100 homers plus the lost years, and you’ve got something like 830 home runs.

Len Bias was the Celtics answer to James Worthy. McHale vs Worthy was a mismatch at both ends of the floor. I believe his death cost the Celtics some championships but no way to know for sure. Red Auerbach was slick enough to recognize and acquire Larry Bird, but arranging a way to obtain Bias immediately after the Celtics won the championship might've been his finest moment as a GM. And he's had quite a few fine moments. Dude is a legend as far as I'm concerned.

Yes. Say hey kid, right? They didn't mention that here so I was wondering if I was confused. Only caught the tail end of his career. They're right. He was an all star even at that point in time.

ya know, i remember him. And I remember he was great. But I don't remember him as head and shoulders above the rest of the league. ACC was loaded during that era. Possibly the strongest a conference has ever been.
