Today, while speaking with Nagaland TV, the parents of the 45 Naga youth detained in Punjab expressed their ongoing concerns and reiterated their plea to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to intervene in securing their children's release. In addition to their appeals, the parents announced their decision to submit a formal memorandum to the Chief Minister, outlining their concerns and requesting urgent action. The youth have been held in Mohali Jail since May 2024, facing non-bailable charges related to cyber fraud, which their families believe are false accusations. Chief Minister Rio had already instructed the state's Advocate General to take up the case, while the Nagaland government continues working on legal support and coordination with the families.
