Thank you Jay. I lived in Passy for a month, 9 yrs ago, after a previous weeks stay with my daughter, 2 yrs previously. One of the highlights of my life. First time in my life, at age 52, when I didn't have to answer to anyone else. I cannot think of a better city for a woman to embrace her independence than Paris. I never felt unsafe, common sense is key, walked everywhere and just generally fell in love with your city. I will never stop loving her. Hoping to introduce my husband to her next year, for what would probably be my 3rd and last visit. Australia is too far away. Thank you so much for sharing your Paris. Love her. 😊🐨

Loving this series! I am staying in Passy for a month in July and could not wait to see your take again on it. Thank you for view from Avenue Georges Pompidou! There is also a stunning view across the seine of the Eiffel Tower near Maison de Balzac. This is a more residential area which is what I wanted. My plan is to do my own 20 in 20, leaving days to visit some arrondissements(like Marais and Montmartre) more than once. I will just be a flâneur!

Darn! I am leaving Paris today and I wish I would have seen this before, but I was busy checking some Paris in my pocket recommendations which I loved, including a visit to the Peloton to have a quick coffee and take a pic. By the way I learned how to pronounce “ellongue “ today there ❤️

Jay, I've been meaning to ask you a coffee question: the last time that I was in Paris (embarrassed to say 2004) I was in café au lait heaven - I just loved drinking it from the large bowls offered. Now it seems that coffee shops just offer café latte; what gives? Is there any place that I can find the perfect café au lait or are they too old school?
@parisisima8934
Жыл бұрын
Any 'corner café' will have café au lait in a bowl. Perhaps Jay will forgo his 'nice coffee' for once and make a video on traditional cafés ? ; ) As a rule of thumb, if you see a 'Café Richard' logo, there will be traditional café au lait.

Do you know this song? Your French is probably good enough to get by without closed captions, but, it's a good French lesson, and it portrays the 16th's reputation. (Don't get me wrong, I love the 16th. We stayed there a few years back. But, i still like the song.) kzitem.info/news/bejne/rWeEmYuOk5Fif4I

I want to visit Paris next March or April and fly over to France from Florida but I think that I am going to delay a trip to there until 2025. I’ve read and heard that Paris is torn up and under massive construction for the upcoming Summer Olympics next year. I might as well just wait another two years until things calm down there.

There is a LOT of building work but it's absolutely fine to visit, everything is open and no more busy than usual.
