Could you also cover the Spanish civil war? It's quite a similar story to the Paris Commune, yet it rarely gets covered anywhere.

That's a great topic. Will think about it in the future. Right now, there are 3 videos I'm editing... and I'm soooo lazy.

Thanks a lot for watching. Check my other videos as well. And, even if you disagree (partially or totally), do place your opinion. Thanks a lot again. But, I didn't understand the part where you said you found me in "The Serfs Tv". How? Anyway, will publish more videos. Stay tuned!

@@SamSinha I watch the Serfs on Twitch (also KZitem) and Lance (host) features smaller, leftist channels for the first 10 mins or so of his stream while people are filing in to highlight creators that deserve way more subs. I liked what I saw from the video and immediately came to sub and save the video for later. Hopefully that makes more sense!!

Now it makes sense to me. Had no idea. Noticed some of their videos before, but I don't really use Twitch. Thanks a lot for mentioning that. Looks like I'd love their content!

@@SamSinha you should def check ‘‘em out! They upload their twitch segments to KZitem if you’re not a twitch person! I only got into it because of lefty politics

The production of this video is awesome. I love the content and format. Just as a note, your camera went out of focus many times as you were speaking. Fix that and the video is perfect 👍

Thank you. I took a lot of time to read, this time. Mostly focused on the context that led up to the commune, not the commune itself.

If the USSR can exist despite its external enemies (and it being no better than its external enemies) then it can happen again...

Actually the Commune was not very different from the first Commune of Petrograd founded by Lenin in 1917 and that lasted until 1923 : Lenin copy-pasted it paragraph to paragraph literally. It was military barracks communism essentially. On paper the workers' rights were very generous (not as much as in Germany though) but there was no merchandise money could buy anything with : their industry was concentrated in the military sector and in luxury goods, nothing that would help the people survive. They were dependent on food confiscation from the countryside around to eat which made them detested by all rural regions, which sounded the knell of their rapid and cruel defeat. Early USSR began exactly likewise.
