One of my favorite things in the world is the station announcements in the Paris subway, which use different voices on every line. All the voices are ordinary employees of the subway system who were selected by open auditions. Each stop is announced twice, first in a rising tone (sounds a little like a question) and then in a falling tone that sounds like a conclusion, right before pulling into the station. The stops in the video are:
Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand
St. Michel
Jacques Bonsergent
Hôtel de Ville
Негізгі бет Paris has really great subway announcement voices
