Thank you for this lovely opportunity to spend time in France with you. Because I have French Canadian heritage, I chose to study french in high school. I experienced french cuisine, had a pen pal for a short period of time, and experienced the love of the language and the culture from my teacher. Now, 40+ years later, I am relearning the language with a desire to go to France as either a tourist or a missionary within the next decade. I so loved your emphasis on respectful behavior toward the people and, especially, the vendors at Vanves. We all put energy into our chosen vocation and we should value that passion in others. I look forward to your future episodes in France. Thank you! ❤ 🇨🇵🎉

I agree, when in a different country, people should try and make an effort to communicate in their language. I guess the same can be said for when people travel or move to English speaking countries too. All about etiquette and respect.

Beautiful video, and might I say that I am thankful for your American representation in Paris. Your manners and style are so thoughtful, which is not often the case amongst our countrymen, when visiting other countries. Thank you.

Spot on. Americans tourists are generally extremely embarrassing to watch while abroad. I know I'm not the only one who feels inclined to pretend to be an anglophone from a country other than the US due to this.

Oh that was so fabulous. (Enjoyed with the sunrise, along with coffee and zucchini bread). Those chunky gold frame paintings, the linens and acres of heavy silver flatware....gets me every time. (I might have to go check my area thrift shops now lol) I'm so glad you focused on etiquette!! Even whenever I was in the French countryside, as soon as I put a foot into the door of the littlest shop...'Bonjour Madame!' So lovely. Also, I cannot give you enough praise for raising your children as you do. Your high standards and the way you guard your threshold gives me hope for the future. Well done, keep it up, and thank you!!!

Hi Angela, I know you love to cook! While you are in Paris go to the grocery store and load up on French spices. They come in little glass jars. The flavor of French spices are delicious and more flavorful than ours in the US. Also, if you can find Bouquet Garni it is fabulous in soups and you can’t get it here! Have a fabulous trip ❤❤

One of my trips to Paris I purchased a huge rug(10 by 12) at market. The vender helped me transfer it to the post office to ship home. It was happily on my porch when I arrived home.
