Great video, mate. I have been there a couple of times, more recently, when I walked Beacon Way passing through. If you continued down the canal a little bit more, it meets the Rushall canal at Longwood Bridge then down the locks and a bit further theres a path onto Walsall Arboretum. I think its at Moat Bridge. Great vlog. I've not seen parrots there, but will look out for them now. Ali the best, Webby 👍

What are the areas that make up the black country? Great video as always Drew.

Thank you it's believed a big area some areas what are questionable is Wolverhampton as black country is defined by coal seams same for Stourbridge , Walsall is definitely included this makes up Aldridge closer to this video I filmed as it was covered by coal seams and the canal was very industrialised . I will make a video based on what is the black country ? It's a interesting topic as the locals agree and disagree in some areas but the black country was areas that where covered by smoke during the industrial revolution, Dudley , Walsall , lye , parts of Halesowen , Cradley , west brom , Tipton , wednesbury , and a few others . If a area wasn't covered by a coal seam then technically it wouldnt be part of the black country but other industries in reality did have some play in how it evolved like cradley with chain making

Depends where the coal fields was that make it into the black country parts come under Staffordshire and shropshire in the older days I believe it was very well industrialised in that area , limestone mining , brick works and coal mines on Google it says Walsall comes under the black country on historic England Walsall includes the towns of Aldridge, Bloxwich, Brownhills, Darlaston, Walsall and Willenhall. . However the canal at that area played a important role in sending the lime into nearby factory's so it does link in with black country history

True walsolians would beg to differ, Walsall was famous for its leather works but we won't split hairs it was a walk down memory lane.........
