Exactly this. Just more time wasted. First he spent ages trying to explain to her why it has to be towed, then she wants to call the office and argue with them and Johnny still has to wait. He's got a job to do and his employer has more cars that need to be towed as soon as possible - or they might lose their contracts - so he can't spend an hour just standing there while she endlessly argues with everyone to try to stop the inevitable. Maybe her plan was to waste so much of Johnny's time that he would simply be forced to drop the car and go to the next job because he couldn't wait anymore.

“It’s not fair! I got no warning this time. Last time they gave me two warnings. Just give me 10 minutes so I can call the office and get an extension.” Therein lies the problem. As long as the property managers have no intention of following through with the tow deadline on the first sticker they place on vehicles, the violators will continue to find excuses to not honor the first, second, or even the third tow deadline. It is a learned behavior. Johnny, you have often pointed out the “serious” property managers who mean business and don’t fool around with parking violators. It’s their properties that have the fewest violators because the tenants know their property manager fully intends to honor the tow deadline. Their first response when they see the sticker on their vehicle is, “Uh-oh. I’ve got to fix this right now!” Not, “Oh, man. No way I’m doing that. I gotta remember which excuse I used last time so I can use a different one this time. Dang, these stickers are hard to peel off.” Yes, we must extend compassion in extenuating circumstances, and you use it wisely, Johnny. But often we forget that compassion carries with it a certain responsibility: we must not let our compassion enable bad behavior. Compassion is a beautiful gift of mercy easily abused by those who have learned to expect it. Johnny, you have a beautiful heart. I pray for God’s continued blessing of protection and patience as you go about your work. Ride on and to God be all glory, honor, and praise.

She only had one warning but she needed ten warnings. It's just not fair.

She could be evicted. She broke her lease. I'm sure her lease prohibits working on cars AT ALL in the parking lot. Her first warning is in the lease she signed, then she received another the day before. This isn't baseball. Three strikes aren't required.

That was sure a rainy day you had to work in, Johnny. I guess you get used to all types of weather. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

I'm always surprised at the ones who don't own the vehicle coming out to protect it. The boyfriend should have never left that car like that. And then to pile trash bags on top of the hood was just ridiculous. Good job Johnny.

Good job ! So sad to see a truly classic car in this condition. Had a 93 celica gt that I modded back in the day, handled great. Loved those headlights ! Was a tuff lift but you got it w/o a scratch !

Johnny you got the patience of Job. When she saw you wasn't going to wait then she started talking about damage being ensued to the car. Good point you made about damage may have already been done considering the condition of the car. If you didn't show up it would still be there. People can be strong and wrong. Glad it was a happy but expensive ending for them. Be safe Johnny!!

You have the patience of a saint dealing with that woman who should be going off to talk to the manager instead of telling you how she plans to try to scam your company out of "damages" that never occurred. Not sure why the property manager would put up with a woman like that either, I'd have evicted her a long time ago!

That car is sitting in a parking lot with the driveshafts off... you don't tear down a car to that level and leave it in pieces...

It's truly amazing how some people think they can actually do a complete front suspension job in an apartment complex parking lot. Then what's even more shocking is how upset/offended they get when they car called on the carpet for this behavior.
