Seventh tutorial video of the ParkourScience series, Physics of the various Kong Vaults. This video will hopefully let you better understand kongs and cat passes and how to better fix your technique as well as student's and friend's techniques.

DETAILS ON LOWERING THE CHEST
Aside from those points already in the video it is also a good idea to learn to lower your chest earlier then may feel natural. Ideally for the sake of reach you want your chest height to be near the level of the wall you are placing your hands on especially if it's low. Timing of the lowering of the chest can be important especially at higher levels of skill. I recommend lowering the chest at least one step before the arm swing and other setting motions take place. This is a good idea for 3 reasons. (below)
Counter rotation- a late lowering of the chest can cause your counter rotation to weaken and your jump may lose significant power and efficiency
Muscle set switch speed - the muscles which crouch and lower your chest are opposed to the ones which fire your back up for takeoff, having these muscles sets working too closely in time can significantly reduce reaction time and takeoff power.
I will edit the third reason in when I find my notes on it this evening :P
Lastly for all kongs (this isn't so much physics as biology) exhale on take off, it will give you more comfort, control and power. (compared to holding your breath which many people do without thinking.
A few of the physics explanations in this video are slightly oversimplified for easier understanding by viewers, the results however remain the same.
